My collision warning does not work. I came close to hiting a car in the rear......NO WARNING.

I sat up a large TV box in the street and hit it doing 25mph. At the dealer now.

Tagging in as I am interested in what your dealer says about this. I had a collision on my front end with another vehicle and nothing went off either but it was raining heavy and was slightly offset.

I know these systems are pretty particular about what it senses under what conditions and am not sure your TV box test would be valid enough for it to work.

Doesn't the collision warning engagement only work when you are actively braking. I know that's how mine worked. Gave the big alert on the dash and I avoided hitting the person in front of me.

I wouldn't think it would brake without you braking a bit for the tv box. The key word for automatic braking is "may"

Page 310 in manual says

Brake Support: The system is designed
to help reduce the impact speed by
preparing the brakes for rapid braking. The
system does not automatically apply the
brakes. If you press the brake pedal, the
system could apply additional braking up
to maximum braking force, even if you
lightly press the brake pedal.

Automatic Emergency Braking: This
may activate if the system determines that
a collision is imminent.
Note: If you perceive the pre-collision assist
alerts as being too frequent or disturbing,
then you can reduce the alert sensitivity.
Setting the low sensitivity would result in
fewer and later warnings of a potential
forward collision. The manufacturer
recommends using the high sensitivity
setting where possible.
Note: Automatic emergency braking
performance is not affected by the
sensitivity setting.

Coming from a 5G Ranger to a 6G, I was also thinking something is wrong with the collision warning system. The 5G almost seemed too sensitive but this new truck doesn't seem to warn me at all.
I checked the settings and it seems to be on. I do not have auto braking on.
Please let us know what your dealer finds out.

Mine doesn’t work either. Dealer won’t do anything because there’s no log of it not working. The best is it will beep for no reason, nothing will be near me.

nope, it works even if you are not breaking (that's its main purpose). or if you are breaking but not enough and you get too quickly close to the obstacle.
mine works pretty fine, actually even too much (it give pre-alert even when I am not slowing down behind a car that is making a turn and I have enough space to avoid collision but sensor detects a potential emergency).
few times it did not work, but the sensor was disengaged and alert popped up; and it was due to heavy snow clogging the sensor

Mine is overly sensitive. I’ve disabled it in the menu and still get warnings and even brake engagement.

I solved that problem....I always back into my garage so in the morning I can pull straight out. Much safer that way. Did have that problem when backing out but a soft foot on the brake solved it. I still prefer to back in and pull straight out.

The only time mine ever stopped my truck was in the car wash when an employee walked in front of the truck. LOL

Update!
The dealers technician and shop Foreman could'nt find any codes but COULD NOT get the system to activate. So, a new module was ordered. Hopefully that gets it fixed.

Same, 5G went off all the time, this one not so much. I've tested it a few times when coming up behind someone turning right, the 5G would have went nuts, Ive got this one to go off, but way less sensitive then the 2019.

What manual, ordered, on-line, in the truck?

Mine definitely works. I was coming up to traffic stopped at a light and was planning to move into the available left turning lane so I wasn't braking, but the truck thought I was going to hit the car in front of me and I got the collision alert and the brakes slammed hard. I've also had it stop me when reversing into a parking space thinking I was going to hit the wall and it stopped me.
