Ok, sorry for the dumb question. How do you access SPORT MODE? I know i can change, exhaust, shocks and steering to sport. But there is no SPORT mode when moving the round driving selector. only mud, sand, baja and normal? My Shelby when you change modes has a specific SPORT mode setting. Just confused and appreciate help/guidance.
The rotary dial on the center console has all your drive mode selections. It would be a huge issue if you didn't have slippery, tow/haul, and sport modes accessible. Try turning the dial counter clockwise from Normal. That's how I get to Sport mode.

Chassis N25321 thank you for your quick response. I do have it - I was rotating it only one way. Does the sport selection change the shifting? It sure does in the Shelby = smiles for miles.

Oh ya. More aggressive shift schedule.

Baja mode will keep the truck in lower gears for acceleration purposes. I rarely got out of 4th gear while blasting around unless it was a top speed run, then I think it wanted to stay in 7th. Best guess, it's programed to stay out of overdrive gears.

They will get over it!
And awesome rev blips on downshifts which sound great in baja exhaust mode.
I wish I have never saw this conversation. I put mine in sport mode with the Baja exhaust setting. I now drive more like an asshole and get nothing for MPG.

I like sport mode, but I have found that downshifts in certain situations can be somewhat aggressive. For example, in situations with sudden slowdowns. I understand it’s trying to keep in the “powerband”, but I have had it drop several gears in the matter of seconds, especially on a twisty turntable downhill mountain roads.
I had this issue too, but once I got the Ford Performance Tune, the shifting between gears became much smoother. I would try to utilize the padder shifters, as another user said; I find that to help stabilize the harsh shifting.

I've run my XLT in sport mode occasionally for fun but I got to tell you, sport mode is just a little too spicy for this old fart to run all the time...lol
