Just had a Viofo a329s installed. They really needed to release the HK6 wiring kit (required for the advanced parking mode and voltage monitoring). I got the older install kit, so can't use the advanced features. Not the biggest issue, but annoying as I'm not changing it out.

I found out the hard way that if you try using the parking modes that don't work with the older kit, funky things happen. (Random powercycling, cam boots on truck wake, but when you start it, it shuts off the cam)

I'll say, I'll never have a shop install them again. The install was the same cost as the frigging cam. Someone made bank off 45 minutes of work. I just am not confident I wouldn't damage the interior and wiring isn't my thing. I'll take the chance next time.

Now that I have the issues figured out, it's a good cam, but may have gone the Thinkware U3000 route next time. It's parking features are superior.

I have x2 Garmin Mini 2 (one front and one rear) - I don't like bulky dash cam with screens. Our Rangers here in AUS have a USB port in the rear view mirror housing which we can use to power a front dash cam. So I just got a second Garmin Mini and put it on the rear window. I power that one from the USB port on the rear centre console - This way I didn't need to bother running power and video wires from front to back

The dash cams themselves are great - tiny, don't make stupid startup noises when powering on, no screens to blind or distract you at night and a decent ios app that actually works.
Quality and level of detail is great in both bright day light and night (even though it is only 1080p)

Only issues it doesn't have speed or GPS connections - but that's not really an issue or dealbreaker for me
Happen to have a picture of that rear view mirror usb port?

Negative - - dash cams are solely for personal use/sharing at your discretion and provide potentially objective 'proof' from false claims.

Soooo after cam incident view...if cam footage shows you're 'at fault,' no one has access to footage unless volunteered
They can just get a search warrant. There's always digital foot print...
