I too had the steering wheel "shimmy" OP experienced, it's the KO3"s, they have to "wear in." I know others will doubt this but after 300 or so miles the shimmy was gone. You say: "why did you put up with the shimmy?" It's because I experienced the exact same thing on a Jeep I owned that had KO3's installed. Oh, and I had my dealer give the wheels a balance check and a thorough inspection of the front-end components.
When the tires were rotated at 5000 miles the shimmy returned for about 75 miles as they needed to wear-in again with their new placement.

Drove mine from Washington to San Diego (Canada to Mexico basically) and back. Very comfortable. The adaptive cruise control worked flawless. The only shimmy I had was dealing with getting the tires balanced a couple of times while dealing with rubbing from the beefier Apex Tie rods. New set of Roush wheels fixed the rubbing isses i had the the RTR wheels.

Seems as though the steering racks have a lot of stiction in them. I thought mine was stiif when new, but after about 10.000 miles it is a lot better. On center feel is better also. My wifes 25 F150 also had bad on center feel until some miles were put on it.

I thought my 2019 fx4 lariat rode smooth with Eibach coilovers until I bought this truck.
Mine rides like butter! Most comfortable, smooth riding truck I have ever owned.
My tire pressure was at 48lbs off the dealers lot. 1000 mile and 36lbs of pressure the KO3s smoothed out. I did not like them at first.

I think you did the right thing. If you have experience with suspensions, steering, and alignment— and the steering didn’t feel right—it’s not right. I have a background in automotive repair and have driven German sports cars with some of the most precise steering you can get (with and without power, and speed sensitive).

My truck was perfect at delivery. It handled like a sports car—not like a heavy truck going around a corner, but in the steering feel and response. At low speed, parking speed- the steering is full power. As you increase speed to highway, the power steering speed sensitivity kicks in and gradually reduces the power as the rolling resistance lowers the effort required. If it felt heavy, there is something wrong. Our trucks have electric steering boxes—HOSS 2.0.. they are not as strong as the HOSS 3.0 in some Broncos. It is possible that truck was ran into a curb, dropped off a car hauler platform, or otherwise damage during shipping. Always have listen to intuition. I think you are “strong with the force” and probably dodged a bullet. It’s not worth taking the chance —QC sucks, and most dealerships lack techs, or they don’t want to work for 1/2 labor rates to do warranty repairs.

Ok, my salesman called me Monday afternoon (he was sick when I went in last week) and asked me what he could do for me. I told him to have the tire pressure checked and rebalance the front tire. Day and night difference on the test drive! The Raptor has landed in my driveway!

Congrats!! Pictures or it didn't happen! :sunglasses: If they set the tire pressure to 39, try 35psi.

My former Ranger was a 2024 2.3 Lariat. It was a great truck, just got a wild hair up my a** and decided I wanted a Raptor.

So glad the dealership fixed it and everything worked out for you. These trucks are a blast to drive and I think are the best bang for the buck in the midsize sport truck category. Now, get a bigger Intercooler, Cats, Cold Air Intake, and a good tune. You’ll have a formidable truck on the street.

I was all ready to buy a new 2.3 Lariat and then I saw a 25 Raptor and thought… “what the hell” and he I am.
