Tough call. Technically yes because not an OEM part. But if something fails they have to be able to prove it was the intercooler that caused it. Which is silly because intercooler upgrades usually help reduce stress on the engine.

Best advice I ever give anyone is make friends with the service manager. Then ask them these questions directly. Nobody here works for the dealership where you will be taking your vehicle to. So anything we say will be just a guess.

Technically yes, they have to prove the part caused the failure. In practice though, they say, "fuck you the intercooler caused the problem, don't like it? Get a lawyer!"

What this guys said. Magnuson Moss Warranty Act and the FTC are not going to parachute lawyers in on your behalf if there is pushback as mentioned. It just gives you grounds to sue in Federal Civil Court on your dime to enforce it.

Most small claims courts are up to 10k. But... It's not like there gonna know you had one there if you put the stock one back. Not like the truck is keeping a phsical log.
