Hey guys. I thought I read about someone on here needing FORScan in order to get the tuning settings on the stock stereo. Is that true?

Ordered a 2026 XLT so wasn't sure if maybe it just wasn't added to the base XL, or maybe I just heard wrong, or maybe the Lariat with the B&O sound system has a better EQ system? I just need the basic Treble, Mid, Bass adjustments.

Curious, thanks guys!

Ok, I can manage with that I suppose. How many adjustments are there to each of those 3? Is it just like 4 notches up and down for Bass, or 10?

Thanks for responding

So I guess FORScan gives a more in depth equalizer then ?

Subscribing as I haven't heard that you can modify the EQ with Forscan.

For audio equalization:
-pick upper left of screen 'front view of truck' icon
-then a list starts with 'controls' and I think 'sound' is second
-pick 'sound' and it'll give you audio adjustments
I have to add that I searched the owner's manual for 'treble' and 'bass' and it came up null.

Thanks for the guidance. When you get to that point, what are the adjustments like? How many adjustments up and down for each of the 3 categories?

I dont get my truck til Aug so just curious!

But is there a lot of adjustment for, say, bass? How many +/- adjustments are there?

you must be kidding
No? haha. Some base stereos only have like 2 clicks up or down for these adjustments, some have 10 or more.

Just trying to anticipate if there is much adjustment available or not.

If you don't have the B&O system the best and easiest upgrade is replace the crappy front and rear door speakers. I replaced my fronts with 3-way 6x9 kickers and the rear with 6" 2-way kickers. Doesn't sound like AM radio now.

Righteous! How difficult was it? I used to swap speakers on early 2000s vehicles all the time but wasn't sure if modern vehicles were more difficult. As simple as popping the door panel off, unplug speakers, pop in new ones?
