Use the dial man. I change mine from normal to eco and back right now, when the weather changes I will use the other modes.
Also time to read the manual. It so easy to change the modes, obviously the dealer didn't give you a great hands on experience either. :frown:
I barely spoke to the dealer, I just needed transportation and this was on the lot.

What dial? The 2H/4H/4L? Sport Mode is in there? 🤔

Ok, first impressions of the truck now that I’ve driven it for a day.

This is the first mid-sized truck I’ve ever owned. All my other was F-150’s or Super Duty’s. So getting used to a small truck is definitely different. Not that it feels small inside. It has plenty of leg room for me. I’m 6 foot and 290 lbs. I fit just fine. The driving a smaller truck is what I mean about getting used to it.

My last truck had a 12 screen that was horizontal not vertical. This one has a 10” screen that is vertical. But the cameras only use the top half. So definitely for me it’s harder to see with. Mine has the 360 system. So when you’re looking at two or three different cameras they are all very small. I like looking out the side mirror and see the bubble finder’s though. It just looks cooler then seeing just a flat side.

I was bummed it didn’t have a usb port up at rear view mirror like I’ve seen on the euro. Trucks. Was hoping to plug my radio detector in there. So need to figure out what wires is hot and ground now for my rear view mirror so I can hot wire it in like I did for my last truck. I don’t like having wires hanging all over. So if anybody with info on that would be appreciated.

But all and all I like it. Got about 22 MPG. Going to work and back today. That’s up and down mountains for 27 miles each way. Very little town driving.

Can anyone tell me why this color always looks so much brighter in pictures than when you actually see it in person ? Dealer had no Rangers, but pulled out a Bronco in this color and it looked MUCH darker ??

How did you disable it? Details!
There is a button on the center console that will disable it but you have to push it each time you start. (I guess I should have said deactivate it.)

Yes. You can change it in settings. As well as add the two gauges on the sides. Just figured it out last night. I do have the XLT high package.

Also, My XLT with standard package can be set up the same way minus the speed limit guage.

Thanks! I genuinely thought it was just to switch between the 2H/4H/4L “Drive Modes.” 🤦🏻‍♂️ The Mustang’s drive modes are all available through steering wheel controls, I just thought I was missing something in the menus.

I find these reviews interesting. I have a '19 Lariat now. A question I have is, how are the headlamps on the XLT? The previous generation XLT has terrible halogens, part of what helped me go with a Lariat. That, plus leather, though I am willing to forego leather on a new one. But I am wondering how the LED's headlamps are on the current XLT? Both side vision as well as down the road vision.

You Lucky Dog - that is such a nice Truck!

Is the dreaded Auto Start-Stop installed/operational on your new Truck?
How about that "$1,000 Factory Rebate for Pre-Order Customers", did you get in on that?
Thanks.
I ordered my Lariat FX4 in January, received in May and there was not a rebate offer. Do you know when they started that?

Everything that I know about it is here in this thread:

https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/thre...der-customers-experiences-upon-delivery.9228/

This Rebate was for those who had PRE-ordered their Truck, before Ford had begun building them.
If you read through the thread you will notice that while lots of us did get the Rebate, some did not - for what reason has never been clear (most likely unscrupulous Dealers keeping the money for themselves!).

You got your Truck pretty quickly, compared to many before you.
I ordered mine in May '23, and I didn't get it until about 2 weeks before you got yours - finally, after 11 months.
And there are many folks here who are still waiting to get their Trucks, after more than a year now !

Took plastic panel off behind rear view mirror and took some pictures for anyone interested. The little gray plug is what the mirror is plugged into.

Here is a picture of the display how I have it configured now. That’s in sport mode. Trailer mode is yellow witch is kind of weird looking.

IMG_5485.jpeg
Note: I'm not harping on your display, but man, I'm kind of iffy on the digital display. I'm old school and prefer physical dial for tach, speed, temp and fuel, like my '21.
What I really dislike about it, is the oversized, always on temp and fuel gauges on the left and right.

someone please report back if you attempt attaching the splitter dongle linked above.
I ordered from Dongar and it didn't work. They confirmed they do NOT have a splitter for 24 Ranger. Returned and using a fuse tap.
