FLASHING 3rd brake light

Anybody installed a 3rd brake light that flashes? This would be the high mounted brake light at the rear of the cab.

Looking for something that flashes 3-5 times (or 3-5 seconds) then goes solid red.

I think those flashing ones provide a benefit because they attract more attention. My wife's jeep has it and it set it to flash something like 8 times

You can buy just the flashing module from amazon , just make sure you get the one for LED or Incandesent application

Would like to see an installation video for a 2025 Ranger Lariat or the RR. I just read where you have to pull down on the rear headliner to find the connector and fish the wiring to install one. Commentor said the wiring (not sure which one) was too short to go through the brake light opening. If you installed one, can you describe the process? Also, did you get a tight seal?

I didn’t do a video when I installed mine but it was very easy. The provided instructions were almost worthless. If I recall it did show how to pry the liner down to get to the wire and connector. I did all of that through the opened sliding window. Unplugged the existing light and plugged in the new one with the flasher and everything worked. Good seal, much brighter and looks great.
Again, use the instructions as a guide. I think they may have a video of it being installed on a 23 or maybe it was F150. I can’t remember.
Mine was on a 2024 RR.

Brilliant sugestion sir. I wasn't very enthused about pulling down part of of the headliner on my nice, sorta new, pickup anyway.

Now I gotta find a module that will work with the Ranger.

I believe you’ll have pry the liner down to plug in the module. It’s not that hard to pull it down a little.

My Ranger came from dealer with that installed and I quickly removed it. Contact me and you can have it for shipping cost.

I recall reading somewhere that in AZ and maybe other states they are legal as long as they don't flash more than 3 times.

edit: well I just looked it up and they are not legal here at all except on emergency vehicles. I do think they should be legal on motorcycles though.

I was looking an this since my brake light assembly has a small crack that i may just ignore..how bright are the LEDs in this compared to stock?

Much brighter and looks like factory should have looked. Pretty expensive but those guys make good stuff however their instructions are not good at all.
I went into the install thinking it was going to be a big ordeal. I think it took me about 20 minutes and everything fit perfectly.
