I've been informed by a friend in the explorer st world (he's on his third one that he's seeing up for racing) that their system will handle up to e40 without maxing out fuel delivery and injectors. I'm presuming our RRs are similar, but of course we don't have a lot of data yet. Since higher concentrations of ethanol mean that you can increase spark without detonation, you should be able to get more until you got limits of either advance or where detonation occurs. Still lots to learn about our RRs. Hopefully ZFG or someone similar will figure ours out
The volume of Ethanol fuel required is significantly higher than raw gas.
The factory and FP tunes do not account for this.

I’m also in DFW - I’ve heard good things about Bridgeport but this is my first time owning an Off-Road vehicle; so haven’t gone yet.
Thank you! I will certainly look into that!

We do not have 93 in CA, so I am simply trying to get the octane to 93-ish world to get the most out of it. I am allowing the tune to perform the best it can. The tune will work on PSI and timing.
A lot of people in the Cadillac V-series world, use Boostane. I have used it for almost 5 years, in my ATS-V and it has worked great. It will turn your O2 sensors a lovely orange color, but I have never had any issues with it otherwise.

A lot of us in the Cadillac V-series world run an ethanol mix, myself included. On ATS-Vs, the fuel system isn't capable of providing the extra volume needed to run a high mixture of ethanol. In order for that to be effective, we upgrade both the high pressure fuel pump and the low pressure fuel pump. Then it requires a flex-fuel sensor to accurately read the mixture, and a tune setup specifically to take advantage of it.

That is amazing! Glad to hear the real-world experience meets what one would expect based on the numbers. I know it doesn't always work out that way. Damn, that sounds like a lot of fun! I can't wait to get mine offroad for some fun. I am currently in north Texas for a few months, near DFW, anyone have any recommendations within a few hours' drive of here?

We just got back to DFW from here yesterday. It’s a beautiful 3.5 hour drive if you take highway 281. This was my first off road experience. We had a blast!

Have you ever checked the ECM’s OAR after a few miles with regular 91 octane on the stock or FP tune?
Trust me, it isn’t affecting anything negatively unless you accidentally use 87.
I actually forgot to mention that you can use torque pro to measure oar. Had that set up on my 800hp gt500, but not on the RR. You could easily be accurate, but I've not heard anyone bring up this measurement yet for our trucks. Are you aware of any built in way to see this parameter? But the more I look into this, the clearer it is that significant hp gains are possible with this TT 3.0, but not without tuning. Choices now seem to be Ford Performance or using a spare ecm and doing a swap. I kinda promised myself that I wouldn't turn my RR into a money pit(20-30k on shelby) with mods, so I may end up with "merely" the FP tune. But one of the top explorer st modders lives about 10 minutes up the road, so the influence is real. Fwiw, his 2025 ecm is also highly encrypted, so even he hasn't tuned it yet. My bigger concern is with non engine drivetrain components, such as axels, etc. At 5400# plus load, I'm guessing the racers will be finding a lot of weak spots. Over time, our knowledge will start expanding. But until then, these discussions will help flesh things out a bit.

I contacted Ford Performance yesterday about availability of the tune for the 2025 Ranger Raptor and here was their response:

Good Morning-

I do not have an ETA at this time, however it is in the works currently. We are going through the emissions certification process as we speak.

So nothing new. Waiting on certification, hopefully in a few months.

The live OAR value is easily displayed using the FP tuner itself.

This post convinced me to pull the trigger, which i was going to do anyway but finally did. Installed it last night (bought from summit). And I cannot understand why this truck doesn't ship from the factory like this. It's so much smoother and more responsive, even on the low end. The throttle map alone justifies the price.

I am so happy to hear it! I was so impressed that when I got home with the truck, the first thing I did was sign up to this group and make a post about it.

I finally got a chance to take some pics in some better lighting, so you can actually see that it is green.

That sounds and looks like a perfect first adventure in this truck! Thank you so much for sharing it! I showed it to my wife last night and we are definitely going to head out there soon!!
If you’re going, check their website and download their map system. I think it’s called “Avenza maps” or similar? My wife was my navigator and it saved us from going down the wrong trail a few times. It works offline with location services on your device and shows you where you are in real time. Have fun!
