Ford Performance Tune Released for Ranger Raptor for 455 HP / 536 LB-FT Torque

+1 on if anyone finds somewhere we can get it installed in california and keep the warranty protection or if we just have to go across the state border or something

I'll try to call Galpin Auto Sports. I had my Bronco's Tuned there and see what they say.

Its funny how on the FP website it says even the Bronco 2.3/2.7 tunes aren't legal in CA but I have it installed on my Bronco. It didn't used to say that so I wonder what changed.

If not i'm headed to Vegas to "live" with my sister for a day.

FORD calibration tool will upload and save the OEM tune and download the upgraded tune. Switching between the FORD OEM and upgraded performance tune isn’t a feature as I’m aware of.

Won’t be like a typical COBB Tuner, where you can switch with specific toggles on the steering wheel.

I actually talked to the guy that bought my tuned Lariat because he had questions about the tune and even though I gave the dealer all the instructions, etc. They didn't give it to him right away. He is younger than me and I wondered if he took it back to stock. I would be I may be the oldest Ranger Raptor owner Easy to untune as it is to apply tune.

Is it possible this would be included in 2025 RRaptors, or just be included as a factory upgrade/option? Curious because I'm waiting for 2025 order bank to open so I can pull the trigger (not that this will change my mind, was just wondering).

Agreed. I traded in an M3 for the RR so have been accustomed to premium fuel for years now unfortunately.

But for me it’s a worthwhile trade off for that low end tq increase!

Me too with the M3 trade. Seems like a lot of people traded in M3s for a RR. I did. But still have an Audi RS3 I never drive anymore because I like the RR more. I swore I wasn't going to get a tune and here we go again.

Timing of actual availability of tune. I first heard of Ford Performance tune about the 2.3 tune (had to go back to Ranger5g pages and look a little) in December of 2020 and I ordered mine as soon as they would take the order and I see from the invoice I actually got it in Sept 2020. Hope it doesn't take that long for this one.

Nope, this would only be and upgrade from FORD Performance.

I spoke with Ford performance. They said you could end up voiding your 5 year powertrain warranty if there is an issue after 3 years as per Ford it’s for the stock powertrain only. So if there is a catastrophic failure after 3 years you can be SOL. I was kind of surprised by that answer since it’s coming from a division of Ford. I guess Ford extended warranty wouldn’t cover either. Kind of disappointing.

Ford Performance, doesn’t have anything to do with the Warranty Division, operations. There is nothing in either the factory warranty or extended warranty agreement that indicates this and it must be in writing as per federal consumer requirements.

The Ford extended warranty; is a bumper to bumper, (not including the bumpers) owner paid warranty. They can’t cancel it, unless they specifically reimburse the owner.

What you’re suggesting is; completely contrary to what Ford offers, in their extended warranty plans.
