Received my Ford PROCAL Tool from Lethal Performance just now. I’ll be installing it this week with ASE Mechanic certification or Ford Dealership which ever happens first.

I’ll post impressions after the install, of driving and fuel mileage for a couple of days.???

I wouldn’t, it won’t hurt anything. I‘ve got less miles and it in there…….Your mind and foot are the defining factors, not the tune.???

This might be a dumb question, does the Procall need to remain plugged in? If I have no need for more gauges or switching to the stock tune….does it need to be connect and stuck on windscreen?

No, not unless you’re planning on using the DTC functions in loaded in the Procal.???

Just got my performance tune today...Shout out to Steeda for getting it to me so fast! That's it for me and "mods"...A performance tune, tonneau cover and front door windows tint is it for me. . . this RR really doesn't need anything else to be impressive to me .. Looking forward to your feedbacks on this tune

No, the ProCal is married to the first VIN it is assigned to.

That surprised me as the tool is the same across all of the Ford tunes and I had thought that the tune file was all that was "married" to the VIN. My tool went with my truck when I traded for the Raptor. Another odd thing was that you could, at least 5 years ago, buy the tool and the tune separately. Waiting for mine to come in.

Terrible advice. Proper break in should be 1000 miles and an oil change before the tune.

No, the tune and the tool will be vin locked to the truck ECU and immobilizer .

There are functions associated with the Procal tool, that are useable for real-time data via OBDII port. If you want to use them, you simply leave it hooked up, utilizing the provided window mount and access them thru the Procal tool menu.???

5Star is working on a computer swap….Sounds interesting. Maybe it’s as simple and plug and play? Warranty ….Put old one back in?
