It's been a long time since I did it but I'm pretty sure it was IPC - minor guage units - change temperature units from alphabetical to numerical. Pretty sure it was non-as-built.

Remove Only Seat Belt “OK” Nag Message

After trialled all of the guidance on removing the seatbelt warning, I decided I didn’t like removing all messages or prompts as I felt the vehicle would no longer be ADR compliant (for Aussie drivers) and I so dug a little deeper.

Remember, use at your own rush. To remove the OK nag message only:

- 720-13-01
F100-0001-002D LEAVE AS IS

- 720-13-02
0110-004D CHANGE the first box from 0120 to 0110 as shown

- 720-14-01
1000-0000-004C CHANGE the first numbers from 2000 to 1000 as shown. Change to 0000 if you do not want the 'overhead seat layout' graphic displayed when a seatbelt issue comes up.

- 720-14-02
0000-003D LEAVE AS IS

These changes leave all of the warnings in place in case someone is in a seat with no belt on and the graphic that goes with it but only removes the OK prompt.
During my testing i found it was only the first 4 characters that required updating as the rest seemed to reset to whatever was required.

For the seatbelts, which one just gets rid of the need to press ok? I'm fine with an alert, but get tired of hitting that button.

My only other annoyance is the "full view not available" prompt. My XLT only has one camera. There's nothing more to show, so get out of my view

I need to renew my Forscan license. I used it on my 5G, but that's been a while.

I tried to get rid of the seatbelt message using the "as built" and changing all the values to zeros. However, when I write it some values change back to the previous values. Any thoughts?

Today I had my first Forscan exploring session.

Here is what I got so far:
- TPMS enabled and fully working
- Turn off cornering light (front fog light turn on when steering the wheel)
- 5 lane change blink
- Changed the wheel/tire (from 255/65r18 to 255/55r20)
- Gear shift indication always on cluster
- Added 04 new driving modes (Sport, Sand, Rock Crawl, Mud)

Later i'm going to try some other stuff.

Couldn't find anyone here talking about Splash Screen (that animation the multimedia shows when you start the car). Did anyone tried changing it? Any cool options available to Ranger 6G?

there is a ton of options under the splash screen choice on forscan, though not specific to the ranger other then the ranger one we already have. a long list of all the ford models but i didn't try them, though i thought about it. i was going to change the focus st one since the truck is tuned and then i thought about hte focus rs since that has the the 2.3 but i decided the splash screen already has the same color truck i have so might as well stay with it.... but, there is a lot of choices if you wish try them out

i need to try those new driving modes and also put the gear indicator on full time. i also want to change the blink to 5

I had to google them myself.

No flash when walking away
No flash when locking/unlocking
You can set the top speed limiter to a bunch of choices, i picked 140mph
There is also a setting for the back doors and windows that i assume is like child locks but maybe only lets the windows go down an inch or two?
There is a higher idle, i assume for cooling and running the electronics?

There was about 4 or 5 police settings but i only used 2 of them

Where do we change these. Is in an as-built module or elsewhere and which module?

Does Forscan offer the ability to NOT prevent you from searching the USB/media drive while driving (and no passenger in the vehicle)? Or are audio system functions not tied to the BCM?

Yes, I think you need to change it to another country code. I remember seeing it a Maverick forum.

Thank you for doing this. I didn’t like the uncertainty about airbags with all seats “removed”, but hadn’t taken the time to dig further.
I can confirm this works on an American raptor with one minor change.

TLDR version:

The difference is the 5th digit of 720-13-02, change it from “2” to “0”. Long explanation below.

The first two digits of 720-13-01 are “E0” because I have the front seat chimes disabled. If you want the chimes on, leave at the factory “F1”.

Ok, now for a more detailed look at these settings. Again, this is for an American market Raptor
The final two digits of each line are the checksum, ignore them.

The programming if these 4 lines is set up to control 5 rows of seats, with 5 seats per row. Seems excessive, but apparently ford found it to be necessary.

The first 7 digits of line 720-13-01 control the chimes for each seat position.
Factory of “F100 000” sets chimes on for seat R1C1 and R1C5, the driver and front passenger seats.
Changing it to “E000 000” sets all chimes to off, but leaves the operators functional.

Digits 8-10 of line 720-13-01, and all digits of lines 720-13-02, 720-14-01, and 720-14-02 set the type of each seat and monitoring.
There are quite a few options if you consult the spreadsheet, but only three pertain to this configuration.

“0” sets the seat as “not present”
“1” sets the seat as “fixed seat with belt minder”
“2” sets the seat as “fixed seat with belt monitor”

Googling these terms relative to forscan shows that a belt minder is the chime, and a belt monitor is the popup window.

The factory coding shows seats R1C1 and R1C5 as “1” for belt minder. These are the front seats

Seats R2C1, R2C3, and R2C5 are set as “2” for belt monitor. These are the rear seats.

Ideally, setting R2C1, R2C3, and R2C5 to “1” for belt minder should make the popup window disappear, but it doesn’t. My testing shows that any 4 of the seats can be set to “1”, but the 5th has to be “0” for not present. I have no idea why, but I tested many combos with the same result.

Due to this, I set the rear center seat to “0” for not present. This is the 5th digit of line 720-13-02. The other four seats are set to “1”.

The message box is gone, and I’m no longer concerned about air bag functionality.

I was not able to change the splash (sync 4 intro) on my Ranger. Tried them all. Any ideas?

One more question: anyone tested the "Virtual speedometer style"? I'm gonna take a closer look on this item tomorrow.

Else, did anyone tried removing the speed limiter? Does it really work?

I am glad yall got this sheet together.
I turned on the police settings:
No flashes when locking
Top speed is 140

Have you confirmed the factory speed limiter has changed? I tried this setting months ago, but my raptor still limited at 107.
