yes, but if you have the fault, parts aren’t available until July for the fix. I believe the original word from ford was no fix until August.Supposedly a bcm update.
See my visit at my dealership below.yes, but if you have the fault, parts aren’t available until July for the fix. I believe the original word from ford was no fix until August.
it was unclear to me if the BCM software fix was available yet. I thought it might be OTA but it makes sense that the fault condition has to be checked by a technician.
good info, @stirfry thanks.

thank you….its under warranty, I am not worried about if they missed something. Just doing what Ford is telling me to do.IIRC, the BCM update doesn't fix anything. It allows the BCM to record possible shorts in that harness. If it does detect a short, it will disable that circuit and set a code to get the harness repaired.
The only way to know for sure if there is a pinched wire, would be to drop the headliner and visually inspect it. That isn't happening in a 20-minute service.
Nice if you have a mobile tech. My rural dealer barely has mechanics anymore.I contacted my local dealer to have them perform three recall services--the piched wire harness, the trailer tow software update, and the seat bolt torque check. They indicated that their mobile service was able to take care of all three, in about 30 minutes.
The tech showed up on time and checked my codes for the pinched wire recall. I had no codes of interest (actually no codes at all) and he activated my interior lights to check if there was flickering. There was none, and I told him I never experienced anything strange with the lights. Then, he connected to my OBD2 port under the dash and started the two module flashes.
Next, he removed the side seat shields from both the driver and passenger front seats. He told me there was no need to remove the seats--he could see and reach the bolts without having to do that. He ran torque checks on both seats, and they were OK. He replaced the side shields and by then, the software flashes were done.
He mentioned that the Body Control Module (BCM) flash would reset the tire pressure monitor sensors, and that the next time I started the truck, I would get that error. It would go away after driving a mile or so, which it did--exactly as he indicated.
He was finished in just over 20 minutes. A very good experience with the mobile service from Gorno Ford in Woodhaven, MI.
Yes they do. I was waiting to purchase my truck until the recall was corrected. The fix became available 6/1/26. Mine was repaired and I picked it up on the 2nd. As you stated above, I'm not sure if the parts are available if you needed more than the software update.I didn’t think there was a fix yet.
