Cheers! I just found a few weeks ago, Prairie City ? Ever been? Cool little off-road area to stretch out the legs of the RR. Was a blast to take in Baja mode.
No, not familiar with Prairie City, but Fair Oaks had a bunch of off roading opportunities when I lived there. It's all built over now though.

lol...my guess you aren't really all that familiar with our Atty General...he is a total POS
LOL! You're right

I just hate car dealers that try to pull crap.

I've ran into Bait & Switch twice over the years. The first one I drove the new truck and wanted to buy it, but after the test drive the dealer told me he just found out if was already taken, but had other ones for me to look at.

The second one I called and verified the truck was still in stock. The woman in sales checked and said it was still in stock. I immediately drove to the dealer. The truck was not in stock. I said I just talked to woman in sales 10 minutes ago and she said it was in stock. They said they don't have any women in sales

I feel how can anyone make an honest purchase, if the Dealers are starting the conversation being dishonest with the listed prices….

I couldn’t help myself and I asked the questions… The sales response below:

It's common here in California. I didn't know that it was, and have been looking for an RR for the last 3 months. The first dealer I walked into told me they were charging $10k over MSRP. I laughed at them and walked out the door. Little did I know, all of them were doing it. I finally found a dealer that would sell me one at sticker if I ordered it. They put it in writing, took a deposit, and i just got my build date yesterday. 🤞

That why I waited until 2026 and bought a 2025 under invoice. Even got mirror marker lights:like:

I purchased mine from a dealer across town. They had a 2025 on the showroom floor since early December with a MSRP of 71k. This truck had the upgraded rims, wheels, and graphic package. Pretty much every upgrade except the keyless entry.

One of the internet sales members who we bought our Explorer from at this dealer told me that a 2026 was in transit that may be worth checking out. Sure enough, the in-transit price was Ford's MSRP of 59,xxx. Cool, that is what we talk about until hit lands in Richmond at the rail yard. The dealer jacks up the price to 61k. As the truck makes its way to the actual dealer the price is now the same 71k as the one parked on the showroom floor. Who would have thought.

Long story short I reached out, said I was interested (this is mid March) in the one in transit but not paying that markup, and he said give him a price. Sure - 500 below Ford's MSRP to which he said they may not go for it, but he will check. Called me back and said yes, if I could come in today the truck was mine at that price.

Basically this dealer does the ADM game but that is what they are asking. Doesn't mean it will sale so make the offer. Funny thing is that the finance guy thought I was buying the one that has been sitting on the showroom floor for months. Surprised they sold me the one that just landed.

But yeah - welcome to California. Probably has more to do with impulse buyers and youth than income but that is just my take.
you still got ripped off at $71k

Of course, but I see a type what I wrote above. That was the 2025 Raptor that was on the showroom floor. I did not pay that nor buy that truck.

I was commenting that truck was sitting there since December when I purchased mine in March. The truck in transition was on their web portal for the sticker price from Ford. The red window sticker. As it got closer the dealer started to increase the price is all I meant. At the time it hit Richmond/rail yard they had the price at 69K. The window sticker from Ford was 59 and some change.

I made an offer on the 2026 and got it a tiny bit under. Not as good as some here saying 1,000 - 1,500 but it did not have any dealer additional markup.

Sorry if I was not clear. At the time I was purchasing there was some odd price fluxuation and dealer incentives. I guess March is truck month? I don't know. One day I was looking at F-150's and Ford had a couple different rebates or different finance, the next week it was the opposite. Same with Rangers. Raptors had nothing.

I lusted to trade in my 2019 as soon aa they announced the RR. But I had to wait until 2026 to find one under msrp. Still some new 2025s around if you want a great deal and there pretty much the same as 2026s.

That's crazy even by Colorado standards.
