Anyone else feel the 360/overhead cam is hard to see at night? If there's not enough ambient lighting, using the cameras to parallel park is almost useless. Tonight, as a test, I turned on the zone lighting and it turns out that it provides plenty of light to see at night.

Any forscan wizards out there that can answer if its possible to program the puddle lights to go on when parking?

Curious… how would the truck know you are parallel parking?

OK, so you want the puddle lights on when reversing...

Either way, I don't know of a way to use FORScan for that particular setup. I'm guessing it cannot be done. But I could be wrong

Upgrading the reverse lights to LED on my Maverick was a big improvement. Haven't done it on the Ranger yet.

I cannot imagine needing or using the 360 cams for parking.
How did I manage for the last 50 years....
Trusting the simulated image, no. Looking at the screen instead of outside while in near proximity to other vehicles, no.
I do however love the front and rear images to show how close I really am to stuff.

But seriously, I kinda like the idea of all the perimeter lighting coming on when I'm parking. Sometimes it's very dark out.

hehe... I said the same thing when parking sensors came out, when reverse cams came out, when rear traffic crossing came out, etc...

Then I experienced the 360/overhead cam, and it was a genuine epiphany moment. Got used to it, and now I can't live without it. So much so that I installed a system on my FJ cruiser.

But yes, perimeter lights when in reverse, or somehow tie'ing it to whenever the camera view is toggled would make sense to me.

Looking into it more, the BMS can't do it. So you'd need to physically wire in a circuit to power the lights (and have isolation diodes). Seems like a lot of work.

My fault for not specifying the Raptor. Different tail lights.
Diode Dynamics. c1r, or the new c2r. I have the c1r. if you want rhe marker/brake, if you just want reverse you can use the plain c1/c2.
