I like this topper. There's a cool ess about it.
Wondering if the turret could actually be an option.

Agree. It takes a different approach to toppers. You can see this in the design; it allows the owner a lot of options. Especially with a turret hatch, which, if the owner is able, can be used to enter or leave an overhead tent with a zippered floor opening in inclement weather. This topper may spawn some cool accessories.I like this topper. There's a cool ess about it.

That's a good point regarding ventilation if a tailgate tent were attached. I could get into a set-up like that.Agree. It takes a different approach to toppers. Where is your both going to be located at SEMA?We are in CO and we are not currently offering colors. This maybe something we do in the future but the raw carbon look is killer in person. You should come to SEMA and check it out!
Love the ideas. We spent a lot of time dialing in a simple and useable system catered to the off road, recreation, and hunting communities. There may be some defense-type applications, but we are not focused on that for now.Think about that turret hatch, one that is attachment capable of mounting something built like a surplus HUMMER gun turret ring, sized appropriately, that rotates and elevates. Strong but light. Easily mountable/removeable similar to Picatinny. Maybe out of 7075 aluminum alloy. Hunters use shooting sticks or a bipod for stability so why not? Could also mount a spotting scope. Lighting options inside for night vision conditions. Sorry, going back to my M113A1 and Bradley days.

We will be at booth #54018 in the West Hall near Ford Performance, and King Shocks.Where is your both going to be located at SEMA?
Love the ideas. We have floated the idea of a RTT option with an access hole through the turret. We think a full topper RTT setup at around 200lbs would be very appealing to a lot of folks.Agree. For people like me who enjoy the outdoors and hunting, being 70 takes its toll. In Kansas I can hunt from a vehicle with a special permit per K.S.A. 8-1,124. Having a turret with an access port allows me to stand up with support, and if I had a ring mount attachment, I could add a rifle support and a spotter. If you don't need that, the turret hatch is still there. You have opportunity by being unique until the competition catches up when any patents expire, so why not appeal to the broadest possible market if it can be manufactured even as an option?Love the ideas. You definitely can get a ton of ventilation with all the windows open and the turret hatch removed. What kind of tailgate tents have you been running? That's a good point regarding ventilation if a tailgate tent were attached. I could get into a set-up like that.
It's likely the cost/time commitment to include keyless entry as a standard option. We will explore a keyless entry system as an option for the future. Feedback like this is incredibly helpful.Wow very innovative design and approach. Well done!
That said, the one thing that keeps me away from toppers like this, AluCab, GFC, SmartCap, etc., is the lack of keyless entry. Having to lock/unlock a keyed latch every time is a non-starter. Honestly, I'm pretty surprised this hasn't been addressed by any of the manufacturers or aftermarket. Seems like a no brainer...
