There are some great takes in this thread and as we all know no vehicle can ever be perfect for all use cases and of course, the concept of being “blown away” is inherently subjective.

That being said, speaking strictly for me, I absolutely love the entire 24+ Ranger lineup and feel there is a truck for literally every buyer, from the budget conscious and “truck as a tool” folks through the weekend DIYers and all the way up to the sports car aficiando who craves a lifestyle halo -type version that priorities performance and acceleration above optimal utility. Ford is on an absolute roll with the Maverick (not for me but a home run for its target market), the Ranger and of course its well-deserved golden goose, the F-150s…

In the six months I’ve had it the RR has blown me away every time I get in it. I hate turning it off when I arrive somewhere because I just want to keep driving it. Frankly, I just love everything about it — the raspy grumble, the wonderful interior, the cushy or sporty (my choice) ride/steering/suspension and its Clark Kent like ability to blend into suburban traffic and in an instant suddenly don its cape and tranform into a truly boss street truck. Of corse it really shines in the open dirt, sand and snow and I live in So Cal and dont tow much so for me, the RR is the bee’s knees.

My honest take is apples to oranges, in a scenario where I ‘m given up to 60K to spend on a new OEM vehicle currently available on a dealership lot in North America (and no spending less and pocketing the rest/doing other stuff/etc. BS) — I’m buying the RR every single time.

YMMV…😎

This, 100%.

Also, call me crazy, but I feel like this is a truck that gets better the more miles that are put on it. Once all the computer learning is done and parts are worn-in, it feels even better IMO. It wants to be used and abused a bit.

I love mine, what other mid-sized truck makes 455hp / 536 lb-ft of torque on a stock engine under any sort of warranty with a reasonable service life expectation?

Even if had the same power stock as the other mid sized trucks, none of them have a watts link or live valve shocks.

The ZR2 has DSS spool valve shocks but its still on a freakin leaf spring standard axel...how very hobbyist of them! Taco is on a 4 link coil spring axle like the RR, but it uses a panhard bar and conventional Fox shocks.

And the Taco hybrid is slower than the gas only variant due to the extra mass of the hybrid system despite the extra power offered by the electric motor.

The Jeep gladiator has a live front axle that really kills its high speed handling, much narrower bed, 11in longer chassis that kills its breakover angle despite slightly better ground clearance / approach and a weak sauce NA V6 that gets spanked by all the turbo 4s, let alone the TT 3.0L V6 in the RR....

They all have one or two redeeming traits, but to me they lack so much in other areas that unless your buying those other trucks for a very specific reason, the RR is just a much more well rounded truck and at a more palatable price point. The hardest part for me is NOT driving it all the time lol.

I love my Tesla. 0-60 in 3 seconds and probably the most versatile vehicle I've owned (I've had north of 50 vehicles at this point). Not for everybody, but super fun for me!

"Race truck" is a laugh. Anyone who has taken these off road at speed will tell you the drivetrain and front end components are NOT built for anything but getting groceries. It's a cool toy, that's about it.
So a Tesla is a most versatile vehicle while the raptor is only good for fetching groceries, got it. So how did your Tesla do in the Baja1000?
