I wanted to do that when I called customer service but they said they can only cancel an order within 1 hour of it being placed. They told me that they could send my order to a special team to maybe get it canceled after 4-5 business days but couldn’t guarantee it so I just sat on my existing order hoping they would actually fulfill it.

Not sure who runs that department but they need to get their act together. 5 weeks of authorization charges on my credit card and no fulfillment of my backorder despite stock being available and newly placed orders being fulfilled instead.

For those curious, Ford Parts emailed me today to apologize for the inconvenience but also to tell me that these J Braces are out of stock with no ETA. Just in case anyone is wondering when they might be back in stock…not even they know.

Just like last time, there was no ETA, but then in was just a couple of weeks. My Dealer can't even check when parts are shipped from thier warehouse, they dan't have a good tracking system set up. Bookmark and check daily. Call them direct when you see them.

I got fed up with Ford and just ordered the Maxliner MaxTub brackets from their EU store after seeing someone post about them on a Facebook group.

It’ll cost me about $50-100 more with a package forwarding service but I don’t have to deal with the run around Ford is giving me. The Maxliner brackets look nearly identical to the OEM ones and don’t require cutting the truck either which is a huge plus to me.

My dealer told me that the service department checked my vin and said that my XLT September built did not require the braces.
