I'd appreciate your thoughts here. My RR came with the Drop-in Berliner. The dealer ordered it. Otherwise, I would have opted for the spray-in. Regardless, I'm wondering if I should scrap the drop-in and get a Line-X spray-in. Is it worth it to do this? Should I consider another option e.g. BedRug, DualLiner, etc.? Please note that I also have a tonneau cover. I'm really on the fence here.

It's really a personal preference as far as having a drop-in, Bedrug, or Line-X. What you'll be hauling and/or carrying comes into play also.

I guess budget also comes into play for some, also.

Personally, I'd go the Line-X or Rhino Liner route because of the durability and a minor side effect (and maybe bonus) of gaining a bit of sound deadening.

I'm going Line-X once mine arrives and installing a bed cover, also.

I just did LineX Premium. Had it in my previous 2013 Raptor and it was bullet proof. So far I did that plus an undercoat - Valugard VG160. The old Raptor became a pile of rust dust in my driveway. The only thing left was the LineX bedliner;/.

My vote is for the Spray In Liner. Drop in liner limits what bed accessories you can have. Drop In's really have a bad and mostly deserved reputation. You will probably get somebody that chimes in otherwise but they will be the exception.

I actually switched vehicles in the middle of the deal just to get rid of the drop in and get the one with the factory spray in liner.

I am pretty happy with the OEM spray in liner. No complaints here, but also only have 200 miles.

One concern with a drop in i had we would plywood/sheet rock still fit flat in the bed with a drop in since it's going to take away some of the space in the bed.

++100 for the spray in unless cost is a factor. i bought mine without a bedliner and Im taking it to Line X tomorrow. Another negative on the drop in bedliners is that there are many unseen places where the plastic bedliner touches the painted bed surface. Over time these places will wear through the clearcoat and eventually the paint underneath. Spray in liners eliminate this and also dont allow condensation in there.
i just traded in a 2012 Dodge/Ram 2500. That truck carried more heavy, sharp, loose stuff that I could count - the Line X held up like a champ.

Question for those with factory spray in bedliner. Is the big Ford logo on the front wall of the bed some kind of an attached emblem applied before the liner? My truck bed came bare and I like the logo on the OEM one.

If you plan on keeping the truck, get rid of the drop-in liner. They scour the paint off of the bed and trap dirt and moisture. Bare metal + dirt + moisture = rust

Yeah, it is some type of attached emblem before they spray over and not a sheet metal stamping.

I'd appreciate your thoughts here. My RR came with the Drop-in Berliner. The dealer ordered it. Otherwise, I would have opted for the spray-in. I was on the fence too. One of the new changes to the Ranger was the ability to lay a 4 foot wide sheet flat in between the wheel wells. With a drop in, you are not able to do so. For me, that was a feature I wanted to maintain and ended up opting for a Line-X spray in. No regrets, I think it covers the tailgate surfaces better and its guaranteed for life. Good luck.

Always spray-in liner from Ford. Had them in my last 3 trucks, quality, durability and detailed finish is better since it is done at the assembly line when built.

All, Appreciate all the feedback here. I guess the question I have is more about opportunity cost. Right now, I have the drop-in liner from Ford. This was a dealer order. However, is it worth scrapping the drop-in for a spray-in from Line-X? Its sounds like a resounding "Yes"! But, want to make sure I'm being clear.
