Latest Software Update last night

Went out to my truck yesterday during lunch and got an update notice.

I took my truck in for regular maintenance. They will be picking my truck up from work for the air bag and ITRM update. I'm 20 miles away. They picked it before. No extra charges. The service writer told me that Ford encourages pick and returns.
My mom's Escape had a S/W update. They went to her house to do it; she's 27 miles away. But maybe it's because she's 82.

I originally wondered if that's what it was, but recall is still showing active in the Ford app. The recall description says it can be a remote update.

I have it on good authority that "It's something magical that happens at night in the dark!"

I think it is pretty clear it has not been pushed out over the air.

if you need it immediately you should get it down by a dealer.

it took about a month for the brake controller to be updated OTA.

Seen no signs or notices software related last some days either in RR or Ford app...

neither have I, and I have a lariat.

i do have automatic updates on, I wonder if those getting a message have it off?

I think it is pretty clear it has not been pushed out over the air.

if you need it immediately you should get it down by a dealer.

it took about a month for the brake controller to be updated OTA.

It is being pushed out OTA to the F150s already. It's called IRTM-25.A04.

Having auto updates on or off does not matter. If auto updates are off, you will still get a message when you are sent an OTA asking for permission to install it like the message below. I keep auto updates off so to avoid PCM updates wiping my tune.

That's an update for the gateway module. Different OTA altogether. Not all vehicles get updates at the same time.

Check the Service in the app. It will tell you if there are any pending recalls.

yes, that it is the ota I was curious about. The ota for towing might be out for the f150 but I am not aware of anyone who has received it ota for the ranger.

I had the dealer do the trailer update on my 24 Ranger while it was in getting new tires on March 19th. They plugged the computer into the obd port to update it. My Gateway update came over the air while my Ranger was parked at home on March 25th. The dealer told me the Trailer over the air updates will begin sometime in early April. If you can't wait due to towing as I am, they will do it now using the OBD port....

Received auto update last night.
Appears to be a "behind the scenes" update so no clue what's involved.
Getting ready for a 2400 mile trip so hoping it doesn't raise any havoc.

Hope this resolves the carplay connectivity. Some days ......
