I have the FP tune on my raptor. I just installed a Cobb intercooler and dropped almost 2 miles per gallon. (It went from 16 to 14). Does something need to be reset.. what am I missing? I assumed my mileage would get better from all that I've read on this forum.

I wonder if thebair charge temp has dropped now so the ecu enriched the mixture a bit

Can you unhook the battery and see if it will start relearning? I am not sure if you can, just asking.

As far as firdt thing i mentioned, cooler air requires more fuel to be at stoichametric (not sure if i spelled that right) so it would use more fuel to stay at whatever the ecu is set to run at. A leaner setting is usually higher temp and a richer fuel mixture is usually cooler and doesnt preignite (knock)

I am stock with a blow off valve and I get 14.9. Maybe you have the same issue as I do, we drive like assholes.

I just reset the truck by disconnecting the battery I'll see if that does the trick.

It's likely the removal of the active grill shutters

The Cobb intercooler did not require the front active shutters to be removed only the rear "floppy" ones Which were attached to the factory intercooler. The Cobb installation was quite simple actually.

My guess is yes, problem solved. Mileage typically now runs between 15 and 16 miles per gallon. I have the FP tune, cobb intercooler, sb cold air intake and aFe charge pipes.

I've been running the cobb for awhile now, no change in gas mileage.
Curious alot of you guys only get 15-16. I haven't really put a full tank through since I got it tuned but I usually get 18-19.6 and I drive it like I stole it.
