Oil pan drain plug

Picked up oil drain plug at dealer today. new design has anyone used the new one yet? If so how do you like it?​

I bought the real one by Ronin, not the Amazon knockoff. Build quality was awesome, but I jus wasn't a fan of the system requiring a separate piece that you screwed in. I know I'd lose it or break it someday.

I am planning on instead buying the UPR QT drain. Doesn't look as nice as Ronin's, but it's a simple ball valve similar to a Fumoto valve.

I bought the real one by Ronin, not the Amazon knockoff. Build quality was awesome, but I jus wasn't a fan of the system requiring a separate piece that you screwed in. I know I'd lose it or break it someday.

That's awesome! Find it pretty easy to install and use? I'll be installing a Rival 4x4 skid plate so I'm hoping that the port window in that plate is big enough to let me use the UPR valve...

Very easy to install and use. I think you should be in good shape, the access panel seems large enough to get your hand in there and rotate the valve handle. Do a follow-up once to install the UPR plug.

I definitely will - should get my truck delivered in Aug and plan on making a ton of posts!

Right on man! How did the install go? You don't happen to have any farther away photos do you? I'm trying to see if it's too long for the opening in a Rival skid plate...

I actually did a bit of tinkering (bored coming off of a workout and had nothing better to do haha) and superimposed your photo of the UPR valve to scale on the oil pan, through the Rival skid plate port.

Looks like it'll fit with room for a hose to attach!!
