Order Tracker Status

What can we infer from the fact that there wasn't a big flush of trucks going to "built" status? Seems to be a slow trickle so far which would imply there is some amount of work, software or otherwise, needed to be done done.

Do we know how many members there are of this forum, with a 2024 Ranger order? That'd be an important piece of the puzzle to evaluate. We know about 5000 trucks have been built, maybe ~8000 by the end of the month. And yet there were only 30 or so entries on the option/order date / schedule date spreadsheet that one poster made. We're a small sample here, seeing a few "built" dates is hard to read from.

Personally I'm curious on my own tracker, it got a new 'updated' date of 3/8, but my 4/8 build date did not change. It was switched there on 2/13. Again considering we're a small sample but quite a few people were noting this change to 4/8, I do wonder if that wasn't a placeholder that's now being more locked-in?

I dunno, I'll grab anything to be optimistic with.

I'm guessing the cars that get shipped out at this point are related to the specific destination of the shipping courier and the ability to make it worth sending.

Eg: your rail shipped truck isn't moving until there's enough other trucks going to the same railyard and a train is scheduled for that route, and your convoy shipped truck isn't moving until they can fill a convoy going directly to your dealership.

We have seen the articles post-covid about shipping companies in a worker shortage, so that's probably also impacting the speed at which stuff gets out of Ford's hands.

There was a shared spreadsheet months ago but I don't remember the totals. It probably doesn't include all the members since many have joined since then. Maybe we can find that and ask everyone here to update their status.

I noticed the same changed " Last Update" date on my 4/8 order.

My tracker has a last updated 03/09 but nothing was different

Going back to my roots when the S550 Mustang was released, it appeared that the number of Mustang5G forum participants to total production was less than five percent. Not sure if that number holds here, but I was kinda surprised that it was that low.

My Lariat truck has been in the "In Production" status for 54 days now.

For those of us who got "in production" before OKTB, maybe.

For people who aren't "in production" yet, it will probably go much faster when there's no internal delays holding shipping back.

Last month people on the bronco6g forum were seeing in production -> built -> shipped within 1-2 days.

Mine just went "into production" on March 8th. So Im just sitting here with my fingers crossed.

The last 5 digits of my vin is 21779. Is that no a serial no and does that mean that 21779 Rangers have been built by the end of April?

Short answer: no.

Long answer: The last five digits have to match the 9th character in the VIN using a checksum calculation to make a VIN valid. So the last five numbers are not a sequence representing how many vehicles have been manufactured.

Found the spreadsheet and there are 40 entries. Since there are only 2 Raptors on the list I know it is far from a total count of everyone in the forum.
