This would make sense. So I managed to get my Ford Rep through the dealer to request more information. I guess the Rep escalated the question and a supervisor called me. A decent amount of the first 500ish were on QC hold. Now the issue is with Union Pacific, anyone with RH80 as their rail code still hasn’t shipped and it’s because of Union Pacific. The carrier has received the vehicles, not sure what’s going on now as they can’t get my UP updates. Maybe wouldn’t say can’t, but more or less won’t.
I think there's varying ideas of what "QC hold" means to various people on the forum. The QC hold you mention sounds valid, the first trucks built go through more stringent testing to be sure they are good to go. This probably was the main reason things didn't ship till March, just making sure there's no issues with the control group. This is also why people are seeing their trucks deliver with 50-100 miles on the odometer. That's just part of being in the control group.
Other people on the forum see "QC hold" and assume that means something is broken or software updates are required, which there has been no evidence of this entire time.
