The frustrating part is there’s no telling WHEN Ford will get to those older vehicles. It could be 4 months from now for all we know. They aren’t going to stop building new ones to ship old ones out so there’s always going to be a truck ahead of those older parked trucks. Ford is eventually going to have to play Tetris to ship those vehicles.

I think they really only use these specific holding areas when stuff isn't shipping and they need longer-term storage. Now that shipping started they probably aren't adding anything new to these holding lots, just slowly emptying them each day. It's just a matter of thousands of trucks and only a few convoys/rail cars available each day.

But you're right, there's really no telling how long it might take. We'll get there, hopefully sooner rather than later.

use online ford chat. give them vin number and ask for rail car, they will tell you, then you just need to find proper contact info based on your rail company. I was able to get very precise info on the train my truck is on, was pretty surprised how easy it was but that could vary based on rail company

How did you do this? I saw a 800 number yesterday so I called it just to see and maybe I did it wrong but it told me there were no updates available.

On Ford chat, the agent told me my status is In Transit and gave me the railcar number and rail carrier name - in my case Norfolk Southern. I found the number for Norfolk Southern on the interwebz and called them. Should be an automated system, unless you pick the wrong options. You enter or speak the railcar number, it traces and gives you location. Mine arrived in Decatur at 6:55am yesterday. It's pretty easy. Options you pick may differ from carrier to carrier but should be similar enough. There are threads on other forums of people trying and figuring it out.

Mine is on norfolk southern as well, getting the info was very easy, would recommend taking the few minutes it takes to do it. Its nice having some sort of idea of whats going on rather than just hoping your dealer calls you and says the car is there some day

i spoke to an actual human who was very helpful, maybe just press zero a bunch of times til you get a live person. This guy told me exactly where train was at the moment and the expected 1:59 am arrival Friday morning at Delaware rail yard.

Finally got it working! Truck will make it New Orleans, La. Today at 1400. Then it’s just a short convoy ride over to me.

It’s finally on the move again. It was stuck in Bellevue, OH for two days but left there this morning and is slowly working its way east!
