IDK, it feels like the quarter-mile times are lack luster between all of them TBH.
2.3L = 14.8 seconds at 93 mph
2.7L = 14.5 seconds at 94 mph
RR = 14.1 seconds at 97 mph

Passing power is the only advantage really.

Honestly this is how I feel anytime I read " . . . Like a sports car" in anyone's comments about their Raptor. It's not a sports car but it might be the fastest or most responsive thing they've ever driven.

It’s nice to see the Ranger 2.7 get a little attention. I have had my Lariat 2.7 for almost a month. The power delivery through the 10 speed transmission is very good and I’m sure if I wished, I could do all kinds of customizations, through it was a factory order and I like it just like it is. I was staring to wonder if this was actually the Ranger Raptor 6I g

Is this the correct answer to the million-dollar question?
Port and direct FI. I've seen some argue that it's DFI only.

Sounds like a perfect base engine for a Tremor trim Ranger. Come on Ford, just give the NA market this variant already!!!

As I posted earlier that the difference between the 2.7 and 2.3 wasn't that big I was chastised to "post links or it didn't happen" Well............... 1 mile an hour faster and 3'/10's quicker. In other words whoever hits the gas first wins...

No one chastised you. You were asked for proof and you took offence.

"From a 5-mph roll, the V-6's torque advantage of 90 pound-feet over the base 2.3-liter materializes into a 1.4-second lead to 60 mph"

That's about 7 1/2 car lengths.

Driving a truck isn't about drag racing. It is about doing truck things.
Pulling a loaded trailer is just one job where the 2.7 really shines over the 2.3. Done it with both pulling the same trailer with the same load.

And I never said that. I posted that the 2.7 doesn't kick the crap out of the 2.3 and someone responded with "post links" Well now you have links. "Doing truck things" My 2.3 can't do truck things? What is the towing capacity and carrying capacity of both trucks? If Ford rates it the same than I'll take their words over yours.

Nice try. I proved I was right and the info was available. 1 mph difference in 1/4 mile. Yea that's miles ahead. Said no one ever. That's not a 7 1/2 car lengths. It's 1.4 seconds difference to speed. You pass someone 1.4 seconds quicker. That's all.

Maybe if I type slower... I didn't say your truck can't do truck things.
It isn't about the difference in capacity. My example is about towing. Have you ever towed a heavy trailer? Up a hill?
Try both hauling at max load or max towing capacity with each engine. Higher horsepower and torque wins every time. The 2.7L and 3.0L have more of both. Ford says it.

Really??? "Maybe if I type slower?" Slander is the tool used by the loser of an argument. For the win! I'll answer one of your replies. I owned a Dodge cummins turbo diesel "Blowndodge" and have towed far greater weight than most. Over 150K miles worth. Yea I know towing but you were just throwing out insults because of of what slanderers do.
