Looking for anyone who has purchased a plug in cooler (110 or 12 - Lariat) for your truck bed to be used for short trips. Not necessasrily camping - more for tailgating and 3-4 day trips. What brand, size - pics?

i have both the ECO-FLOW and the SETPOWER... both are great, but the eco-flow provides more features and dual zone... and you can get a battery for it to keep it running with the truck off. If i were only going to buy one of those two it would be the eco-flow for general use and the setpower for offroading as it is a bit more rugged and can handle larger angles without shutting the compressor off.

Yeah I keep seeing the Ecoflow on sale and have been thinking about picking one of those up. The built in battery seems like a pretty good easy button for keeping the fridge going when the truck is off without worrying about adding auxiliary batteries and wiring.

I've been using an ACOPOWER LiON cooler/freezer that has worked fairly well for me. I had to add some material in the battery compartment as it would jostle loose on off road trips. It's nice that it is AC/DC/Battery.

If I had to do it again, I would look at ECOFlow or Dometic/ICECO. I use ECOFlow for the rest of my battery backup needs so a single app is nice. I've heard decent things about BougeRV units as far as price/performance, but do not have any experience with them.

I have an anker solix ever frost, just the 40L. Works great, basically leave it in the truck all the time.

Anker makes awesome battery equipment... does the solex everfrost come with a battery integrated into it or is it just plug in?

It has two batteries (you have to buy the second) but you can hot swap them AND hot charge them to extend the life of the cooler.

I've been using a cheapo Deaprull 53qt dual zone. Works great backed up with a Bluetti ac180. The fridge ran for almost 4 days on the Bluetti camping. Doesn't look cool like some others but latches good has wheels a light and removable divider.

Do you know the wattage or amperage requirements for these plugs? I believe the 120V outlet is under 400W and the item can not have a high startup surge. For the 12V outlet, the item must draw less than 20A (240W). I assume the refrigerators you guys are using fit these requirements but wanted to confirm.

I just use a manual one. I have a Coleman and a Yeti both keep ice for 4-5 days. No need for power.
