Instead of a lift and larger tires I would like to lower the rear end slightly so the truck is level and stay with the standard size tires and wheels. This way no alignment and front suspension issues. are there any kits out there to do this?

I almost always do the same and will one my warranty is over.

Are we spring over or spring under the rear axle? That will effect what you have to do to lower the rear end. I just lowered my 04 ranger a few months back and had to flip the rear spring hangers and remove the blocks above the rear axle but it gave me about 5 inches of lowering

As long as you don't plan on towing much...

Spring over.

On the 5G, lowering the rear end a little was very difficult. I believe our trucks are similar. You can move the axle, but it is a big drop, which would mean lowering the front if level is the goal.

Some new leafs or just weight in the bed might be better. Thanks

So they are like the old rangers. Flip the spring hangers or flip the spring plates which is like a 5 inch drop, as noted in the post above. Bummer

Flipping the hangers should only be around 2, maybe 3. I did that on my 04 ranger but that requires grinding the rivets off and using bolts to remount the spring hanger to the frame.

Moving the spring from above the axle to under is like a 5 inch drop

This is with the hanger flipped and the factory 2 inch lift block removed (this truck is an edge so it had a 2 inch factory lift)

I suppose you could flip the axle and then add lift springs to get a modest 2-3" drop. The problem you'll always run into is the suspension travel. Any drop will come with a commensurate reduction in suspension travel.

If wanting to drop the tail an inch or two, the cheap and easy way, is simply toss a few sandbags in the bed, that will do the trick.
