I have a '25 STX with the rear locker. When I disable the AdvanceTrac, it is fully disabled and tires spin freely in the snow. But when I enable the rear locker, the AdvanceTrac lights stay on the dash but power is cut almost immediately. Any way to defeat this? I'm guessing probably would require a Forscan?

I assumed I could use the rear locker without any nanny's.

Could you clarify "power is cut almost immediately?" Are you referring to engine power being cut [to control wheel spin]?

Yeah, like traction control is on even though it's clearly off. My guess is that it's forcing it on because a locked rear end could cause a spinout on turns in wet conditions if your not careful. Curious if anyone else has noticed this.

Yeah, it's normal. May have tried some snow donuts and discovered the same behavior.

Yeah the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.

I'm not sure it's really necessary, I mean on dry pavement there's a greater risk of damaging the diff if locked, but it is what it is.

If you want some epic snow drifts you're gonna have to pull the ABS fuse.

First press of the traction control takes the traction control of. Then hold it to turn esc off. Make the snow fly!

I'm not sure if you read the content of the thread but traction control and stability control still function if you lock the rear diff. With it unlocked they turn off and you can slide/spin.

Oh right, might work differently with the rear locker, thought you can definitely drift in snow without locker engaged.

Made a video to show what I mean. It's a new truck so it's fun finding all it's quark's and features.
