Setting up 2025 Ranger for flat towing

Well it seems maybe late for some but have sorted this out for some time.
Blue Ox was a disaster to work with and finely gave up on them in July after 3+ months.
The wiring is the same as the earlier F150 curt 52013 plugs right in with the same pinout. The one listed for Ranger will not work.

Lots to know about the Roadmaster Baseplate as well.

I installed the Curt wiring harness to my Ranger Lariat. While the brake lights and turn signals worked as they should, the driving lights do not. The driving lights facing the rear do not illuminate, however the driving lights on the side do illuminate. Any suggestions?

If you did not see this already as it is posted in another thread. I went out and confirmed what actual lights work. The side and bottom C come on with the tail lights. The top is brake and turn signal. It is hard to see in the daytime but easy to see at night! The last picture is with brake light on.

If you don’t want to wait, you can run the Blue Ox baseplate and use an adapter to your existing Demco or Roadmaster tow bar—those adapters are common and work fine. For wiring, the ’25 Ranger’s LED tails and BCM are picky, so use a diode kit made for LED vehicles (e.g., “smart diode” style) and add a charge line from the coach to keep the Ranger’s battery happy while in tow. Make sure your truck is 4x4 with the 2‑speed transfer case and use the Neutral Tow procedure in the cluster; Ford typically allows up to 70 mph, but double‑check the owner’s manual for the exact steps and limits. For braking, a portable system (RVi/Brake Buddy) or Demco’s Stay‑IN‑Play Duo works well; if your coach has air brakes, Demco Air Force One is the cleanest setup.
