I took a Day trip up into the Uinta’s Sunday to get out of the heat & hang out by a Creek in Murdock Basin. I have 275/70 R17 Toyo Open Country AT’s, stock FX4 shocks, Go Rhino D6 running boards & a ARE topper. I was looking into an Alu Cab Contour Canopy but could not justify it being that I’m only going to be putting Bikes & Paddle boards on the roof & not roof top tents or awnings. If I was going to load up the topper with a tent & other equipment I would have gone Alu Cab. I like the look of the ARE being paint matched & got the windoors & roof rack attachments that I wanted as well. I still need to put my Thule racks on the roof of the shell. I will put them on before my Montana trip next week. I would like to lift the front end by 1” to 1-1/2” at some point & maybe add some lights. I’m not looking to add too much to the Ranger being a daily driver & road tripper. As for off road, I’m not looking to get into any crazy rock crawling at all. I’m doing more back-country roads & trails in the mountains & desert from Utah, Idaho & Montana. So far it goes everywhere my 4Runner did so I’m happy.

Nice looking rig. Your use is about the same as mine here in NV.

Did you notice much speedometer error after the tire change?

Yes, it’s 2MPH off over 65 & up. So, 70mph is riley 72mph. I check it with a GPS app on my phone.

Do the bigger tires on stock suspension rub at all? Been debating going a little bigger once my tires are worn. Maybe 265 or 275..

Is it possible to fit the rear quarter panel bed steps to an RR?
Wish that was an option from the factory

Yes but only 1 side as some of the stuff underneath gets in the way.
