No need for the High Mileage variant, unless you already have 80k+ miles on the truck.Since Tier 1 fuels are scarce around me I will start using Chevron Techron additive.
There are 3 different ones:
Complete, High Milage and Concentrate.
Which one are you using?
Thanks
It is a 2024. When did they change GDI?If you have a '24 (before the GDI was changed) keep in mind the fuel additives will work on the injectors only, it will not do anything for the intakes since this engine is a GDI engine without an injector above the intake valve.
I have a '24 with the 2.3 and am planning on having the intakes cleaned at 50k miles to address carbon build up that will be there.
2025 model year, the engine is now also port injected. It is a 2024. When did they change GDI?
No, closest Chevron is 39 miles, Shell 13 miles, Costco 45 miles. No Texaco or Mobil.Tier 1 fuels scarce?
So, no Mobil, Exxon, Chevron, or Texaco near you?

How often to you use it?I use techron complete on all of my vehicles, gdi, non gdi and high mileage, I have 314k miles on my 98 ranger and runs great
I'd bet they wanted to use up their stock of the regular DI engines first before the switch.2025s got a brand new engine. Ford just didn’t tell anybody.
maybe but all the 25. 2.3s are the new engine, afaikI'd bet they wanted to use up their stock of the regular DI engines first before the switch.
