Techron fuel additives

Since Tier 1 fuels are scarce around me I will start using Chevron Techron additive.
There are 3 different ones:
Complete, High Milage and Concentrate.

Which one are you using?

No need for the High Mileage variant, unless you already have 80k+ miles on the truck.

2.3L, a little over 14k. Probably 90% non-tier fuel.

If you have a '24 (before the GDI was changed) keep in mind the fuel additives will work on the injectors only, it will not do anything for the intakes since this engine is a GDI engine without an injector above the intake valve.

I have a '24 with the 2.3 and am planning on having the intakes cleaned at 50k miles to address carbon build up that will be there.

2025 model year, the engine is now also port injected.

No, closest Chevron is 39 miles, Shell 13 miles, Costco 45 miles. No Texaco or Mobil.
Mostly Circle.K, Citgo, Murphy and a few other non Tier stations.
I just saw Citgo is Top Tier rated? The You Tube video didn't have much good to say about it.
It is a Venezuela based company.
There is a Sinclair that opened up not long ago. Looks like it might be Tier gas. I don't know much about Sinclair gas.

maybe but all the 25. 2.3s are the new engine, afaik

and production on the 25s was slow to start

possibly they wanted to get rid of the 24s

I think in 26 ford might finally hit their stride on ranger production.

I personally think ford would be smart to limit rangers changes for 2027. Maybe add some different trims and pull some stuff off the Australian version To limit production line disruption.

And ford is supposed to be producing some type of built ford tough affordable truck for 2029.

although I suspect that will be more like a maverick built with a streamlined assembly system resembling how teslas are built.

In my opinion, the updated 2.3 ecoboost is a hidden gem, smooth and quiet, plenty of torque and power, love it.
