So you have inside information or just guessing? I mean I kinda agree with you just wondering. What do you think the odds of getting it this time next year?
Also,

Even non specialty units are some times taking 6 months or more to produce. The chip shortage and other commodity constraints are still playing havoc with production. They have to produce buildable units, so highly optioned units, or vehicles requiring more limited commodities, are obviously going to be built at lower numbers and will take more time for you to get. Dealer allocation also plays into this.

So no one can truly tell you how long it would take to get your order, especially a specialty vehicle like a Raptor.

I'm ordering a Raptor, knowing patience will be a virtue as it was on my Bronco that took almost two years to receive.

Knowing how many orders are ahead of you, will be an important consideration. Especially if you're at a lower volume dealer.

You act as if they won't be making money by making Raptors. They would be selling their flagship model like hotcakes out the door. As soon as they make the first several thousand of them to meet demand, they would start on the rest of the lineup. They can output 10-15k per month so they'd only have to delay the regular Ranger line maybe 3 weeks.
Hardly. It's not a Flagship model by any realistic stretch of the imagination. It's a niche model for wealthier purists and for bragging rights and publicity for the brand in same way a Shelby GT500 is. There's no way they can build 10-15k per month and even if they could it would be the worst possible business decision. It's not an everyday truck for the masses.

BTW, weren't you 1 of the guys complaining about how many years it's taken to finally even get our NA reveal? Expecting Ford to add any more delay would be adding the final nail to the coffin of any relevance in our competitive mid size segment and they'd have no hope whatsoever of even getting back to 100k annual sales, let alone building uptake from there.

It's the flagship Ranger model. So yes, it is a flagship model.

I complained about how long it took Ford to officially announce the Ranger. We all know they are coming as 2024 models so based on what I said, an additional 3 week delay is nothing and would not hurt sales because believe it or not, selling Raptors still count as sales.

no, it's a Halo or Trophy model to be sold to an exclusive crowd in limited quantities at extremely high prices. Fully optioned XLT Lariat would be more of a traditional Flagship model. You speak as if you have no actual personal industry experience in automotive, tech, telecom, etc. where Flagship status is well understood. Carry on seeking your flagship.

not necessarily high prices, but typically at msrp. They are just controlled in numbers produced as to never be incentivized and as to always generate pent up demand, if possible. They are definitely not built to compete with or to be mainstream readily available models, for sure.
