You can also go to YouTube and watch videos explaining the benefits. I added one to my RR.

Unless you plan to take oil samples or have a tiny oil pan, I don't see any advantage, just a lighter wallet.

If you don't like burning your fingers and you prefer a controlled release of oil flow that doesn't leak all over the wiring harness directly beneath it, you will appreciate the Ronin drain valve.

I installed one on my 2025. It's nice being able to attach a hose to direct the oil and control the volume of flow. Do you need it, no. Does it make a routine task easier and cleaner, yes. As someone else said, you install it into the plastic oil pan once and you don't need to replace the plastic oil plug

That‘s what I really like about it.. Attach a hose to direct the flow into a container. I plan to have the dealer do the first few oil changes. After that I’ll likely do them myself. Thanks for all the comments.

This set up is super easy to install and makes it drip free! Made out of solid billet, the fit and finnish are top notch! Leave the cap off when refilling the oil and you can easily check for leaks and ensure the valve is seated. I also zip tied the drain hose to the valve. Done!

Dunno about the Ronin but I just installed a UPR valve with a nipple to drain the oil.

Ronin would require their adapter which always seemed like one more thing to lose.
I keep it attached to the hose I use to drain the oil. I also use a 10 quart container instead of a drain pan. Makes disposing of the oil a breeze.

Anyone tried cutting an access hole in the cover?
It would be nice if you didn't have to remove it to drain the oil

Ironic this came up now. I just did the first oil/filter change on my wife's 25 RR last Thursday. It had 1350 miles and I was curious to see how the oil and filter looked. I'm an Amsoil guy so I already had the new oil and filter ready to go in as well as one of these new Ronin drain plugs.

Install is as easy as reinstalling the old drain plug and with a piece of hose that other piece I look forward to the next oil change because it should be 100% mess free.

FWIW, at 1350 miles the oil still looked brand new.
