Installed my 12 volt socket in the bed today. I chose a Marine grade socket made by Scanstrut, it has a weather tight cover which doubles as a plug retainer when in use. The socket itself is excellent quality. I got a surprise when I opened the cover, there is a red light inside so you 1. know it's working and 2. can find it in the dark. The cover also stays open when you push it up all the way.
It's purpose is to run my car fridge.

Dropped mine in a couple days ago and tested the grip today. Held several cases of drinks (Plastic and cardboard) in place even with rather spirited driving. Very happy with it!

I don't need it powered with the key off, if you do, take power from the battery but don't use the Scanstrut socket as the red LED light will be a constant draw, I don't think there is a way to disable it.. Or put in a switch.

First big ticket item yesterday. Had line-x bed liner sprayed on. I also went with the UV protection coating as I don’t have a garage, and at 6500 ft elevation, the uv is pretty harsh here.

With an eight pack of LED lights, six were used in the bed and connected to the factory bed light system. The last two lights and switch were used for lighting in the engine compartment. Fab'd-up an L bracket from some ABS leftover.

Finished installing quad ~60W LED fog lights with custom brackets, as well the base level pair Lasfit led fog bulbs had one bulb failure in less than 2 hours of run time at max and they credited me towards their top led bulbs which are 65W each and very powerful. Tieing in all the quads with the stock fogs harness using custom splitter adapters was overloading so had to tie 2 into the high beam accessory circuit provided in the cab and run a few feet of wire out to fender. Obviously I don't know how much headroom there is except guess and check, but tieing into side markers only works with one single 60w led...Also what works steady in key on position doesn't always work with engine running for a reason I'm not sure about, total experiment for me but it sure is bright with everything plus high beam headlights
