While I had the paint out to "repair" where I chopped off the trailer plug mount, I cleaned up and painted that rusty rear driveshaft. I'll get to the other rusty bits later (front DS, axles, other rust-prone bits)

I used Eastwood Extreme Chassis Black

I know this is aesthetic-only, but damn that rusty look bothered me whenever I was under the truck

Installed a dash cam.
Ran the harness down the A Pillar under the weatherstrip molding, rear camera harness too, between the headliner and door rubber. Super easy! Thanks to various members info and photos.

Not even sure what inspired this 20 minutes of madness... but I decided to add some foam spacers under the rear seat vents to raise them above the Weathertech liner lip. This is simply some pieces of 25mm closed cell foam, Tesa taped to the bottom of each vent and then snapped back in place. Cost me essentially nothing and barely any time.

They do fill the hole in the carpet better. So I guess that's a thing.

Was it worth it? Unlikely. But my mind needs to stay busy at all times

Speaking of foam, I repurposed some of the foam packing from the dash cam.
Something that bugs me is the air blowing to the side windows has too much volume and blows in my face. I tried this today and it worked perfectly. Not real pretty but most people would never notice it. Reduced and redirected the air just right.

What did you use to black them out specifically?
Sanded with 300 grit and wiped everything down with Gtechniqe panel wipe spray. Applied 3 coats of Rustoleum fast drying primer and sanded with 600 grit. Applied 3 coats of Rustoleum truckbed coating and 3 coats of a fast drying matte enamel clearcoat that’s marketed for plastic wheel covers. All purchased at Walmart. The sensors I popped out and just did 1 light coat of each and they work fine with no issues, I did lightly sand them first with 600 grit and wiped them down as well. For the bumper cover and skid plate I waited 30 min between each coat of primer, and hr between primer and paint, 30 min between each paint coat, an hr between paint and clear coat and 15 min between clear coats. I put everything back together after I let it sit for 12 hrs.

Thanks for that. I was wondering if other people use Rustoleum like I do! :)
