It's interesting, the Lariat recommends 30 cold. The XLT recommends like 38. Huge difference in recommendations between trims.
My XLT says 30 on Ford Pass.
I run them at 35 which is what dealer and tire shop set them at.

I just picked up my Raptor and the dealership had them at 49! I spent the time to measure and lower each one to the 39 listed on the door panel. We shall see how that works out for me. Damn those caps are a bitch with the beadlock rings in the way.

Different tires do feel different, but everyone saying 30 seems low should remember one thing. Ford has rated the stock tire to carry the full load of the truck at 30PSI. They should also look up the Ford Explorer, Firestone controversy. Ford has a lot of experience in selecting air pressure based on load, comfort, tire wear and safety.

I run Baja Boss in the summer and Hankook I-Pikes in the winter. Both have a good contact patch at 30 PSI and show good wear across the tread. The I-Pikes are a little more squishy, but in winter, I would rather have a flatter tread instead of it lifting off the road due to higher pressure.

Off road I air down the Baja Boss to 20PSI.

I had them at 35 over the winter, but down to 30 now that it's hot outside.

I've got Tremor take offs with 265/70/17 General Grabbers, kind of felt soft at 30 so I upped them to 35 today to see how it rides.

For my '24 XLT, FordPass and the sticker say 38. It came from the dealer at 44 all around. I dropped it to 38, measured by 3 different gauges now, but the truck is telling me 41 all around.

Who to believe, the truck or 3 different gauges?

Interesting. I have a 2024 XLT FX4 with the crappy Goodyear tires and both the door sticker and Fordpass say pressure should be 30 psi cold.

I made one of those inflator hoses that connect to all 4 tires at the same time, so the tires are all inflated to the same amount.

Looking at Fordpass, it currently shows one tire as having 2 psi more than the other 3. I set them all yesterday with the hydra hose and the truck hasn't been moved since then.

Personally I just use it as a guide and to make sure they aren't drastically over- or under-inflated. In my case, the dash readout for tire pressure isn't any closer to reality than Fordpass.

I just check them with my handheld gauge periodically.

@HeadlessPonch - has the temperature changed since you picked it up? Remember that tire pressure changes with ambient temperature changes.

I checked simultaneously in FordPass and with 2 gauges before I posted, after the truck sat in the garage all night.

My 24 XLT with Goodyear Wranglers recommends 35 psi both on the door placard and in FordPass.

WOW! So glad I found this thread!!! Mine are set at 40/41 and I just assumed thats truck pressure. My Focus ST was 32 psi, I didnt even check the door since I assumed they were set at the correct pressure. Ill lower them down to 32-34 atleast. Its already in the mid 90's here in Texas.
