Yea that is pretty much around where I would expect it to come in price wise or at least high 60s.

For me, I have full size HD diesel trucks and have a TRX as a crazy super truck, but for my daily I use my 2 dr Bronco.

Don't much like parking the big trucks in the city when just running around town or going into the office. My Ranger Raptor is going to be taking over as my daily driver, and the Bronco might eventually get sold, not sure yet on that part.

I am just wanting smaller ultra comfortable truck, yet still very capable of truck type task, yet has to be nice looking, has to be smooth riding, essentially all the things my big full-size trucks can and do offer, only in a much smaller package, better suited for city runabout work, yet still very comfortable for long distances travel in whenever needed.

My Bronco does part of that job well, but does not ride very smooth, is not comfortable on longer trips, and lacks a lot of the luxury features I really like.

That is why I am buying my Ranger Raptor.

Just saying I would be more than happy to pay for those added luxuries seen in that platinum model, as long as it had the rest of the truck was still Raptor based.

That platinum as seen in other markets is not going to ride near as smooth as the Raptor does, it won't have the performance of the 3.0L gas Turbo v6 that the Raptor has, unless the US version gets the Raptor's 3.0L which I really doubt it gets more than 2.7L likely standard if and whenever the Platinum gets offered here in the US.

It is really about being the right size truck, without any compromises typically found with most of the mid-size segment.

Your probably right, Ford will never see it that way and will likely continue down the same beaten paths. But just wanted to put my thoughts out there. I maybe alone in those thoughts and maybe the current Raptor I am buying is going to be as close as I can ever get to what I am after.
Actually the Lariat 2.7 rides better than the Raptor. I was impressed with the ride and how smooth the 2.7 Ranger lariat drives. I own a Raptor Ranger it is more of a sports car type ride than the other Raptors. I like my Ranger Raptor allot but have to say in the ride department the 2.7 Ranger Lariat is the best riding Ranger. The Raptor does handle better, it more of a sports car feeling to me. The Raptor Ranger goes where you point it and never gets unsettled in a corner because of bumps it just so well planted to the road. Got the Ford performance tune in my Ranger Raptor and it really wakes up the truck. Your Ranger Raptor will be a great daily driver that is what I do with mine it allot of fun to drive.

I don't disagree with you, I am content we at least have the RR though.
The rear ac parts and grab handles will be an interest for the aftermarket which is a positive.
It would sell well. They don't make a Platinum model because it would eat into F150 sales. The F150 is a much more profitable model

The Platinum version has zero features that I see as an upgrade. In fact, it's the opposite direction – McGillicuddy grampa comfort cruiser - of where I want the Ranger to go. And if orange accents are good enough for Lamborghini and McLaren, they're good enough for me. Diamond tufted upholstery (Platinum) is found mostly in coffins or caskets. I guess the debate is sport vs luxury?

Well, I think for the most part, outside the US/Canada, the ranger is their F-150. If you loaded up a ranger to those specs here it would be in the F-150 pricing and it wouldn't sell well, the majority would just get the F-150. Just my opinion.
What ever happened to the people wanting the smaller truck? I traded my Lightning in for the Ranger because I realized I wanted a smaller truck after owning the Lightning for a year. So that situation wouldn't apply to me and I'm sure many others.

I have long believed that the reason the Ranger sales sagged and were intermittently discontinued in NA has always been due to the lack of appointments used in the truck. I ordered a 2022 Lariat SuperCab as my retirement gift to myself and was markedly disappointed in the end result. That truck is really nothing more than an XLT with a few more pieces of chrome and a different badge on the side. Ford went so far as to delete items I ordered on the truck to cope with my disability and when I objected, they said, fine, refuse the truck and we'll sell it to someone else. That is Ford's approach to customer service.

I swore I'd never order another Ranger after the 2022 fiasco so, earlier in 2025, I went looking for a 2nd year Raptor. I found what I wanted on it's way to a dealership about an hour and a half away and put a deposit on it. Huge difference (above) from the Lariat. The seats are 1000% more comfortable. Interior appearance and materials far exceed what I expected in the Lariat even. Although I would prefer the Supercab over the Crew Cab, I still like it a lot better than the Lariat.

Ford simply keeps the appointments in the Ranger line intentionally low to discourage sales that might near their sacred F-150 line. I had an F-150 and I absolutely LOVED it. But, after a single hail damage claim (it wouldn't fit in my garage), my insurance said they would not cover it for hail anymore. This Raptor is my 5th Ranger though. As much as I love my Raptor, if the Platinum had been available here in NA, that is what I would be driving now. I have also read stories of a possible Ranger Super Duty being built in Australia in the coming years. How about a Super Duty Ranger Platinum?! Wouldn't that be something.....

A Ranger Platinum with a direct and port injected 3.0 would be my ultimate dream truck.

I wish you could get any trim with any engine combination. I want as much of. A base model truck as possible but a larger engine could be a ton of fun ( though i love the 2.3).

With the average new car payment hovering around $900 and a 7 year car loan now being used widely I detest anything even higher priced in the US. Not to mention it’s a pickup truck 🤣

TFL caught a Super Duty Ranger mule testing in Colorado.

Maybe there is some hope for the Super duty Ranger making it to the US market.
also note the one the caught testing is an extended cab.

Also I sort of curious if the test mule truck seen next to the Super Duty Ranger isn’t really an Everest in Ranger clothing testing for the US market. Maybe it’s the platinum like in the start of this thread.

Would love to see the Everest to the US market as well as the Super Duty Ranger.

The Michigan Wayne Ford factory has enough on their plate. They make between 8 to 14K Broncos per month. Many variation in that model. Then they have to build the XL,XLT, Lariat and RR too.

Keyboard warrior I see, There is no need to comment like that.
Nope, it was not my intention to put you down in any way. Some people like lots of tech stuff, and some don't. So, for you, it is enough, for others it may not be. Keep on trucking friend.
