The leather seats on my 23 Lariat are absolutely perfect, not a wrinkle, crease or blotch anywhere. That is however perhaps one of the very few things Ford got right on my Ranger. The white leather seats in the wife's 2019 Explorer Platinum still look brand new 5 years later, but then everything on her Explorer makes me remember why I bought Ford's for 50 years. I would love to see Ford get back to the "Quality is Job 1" tagline.

You dont supose that weight of the occupant has anything to do with it - do ya? My 2024 Lariat leather seats look wrinkled like yours. The leather seats in my wife's 2017 Honda CRV Touring look brand new. Of course she is 110 lighter than me ;)

My wife and I both have Ranger Raptors, I weigh 155, and she's about a 118, and we're not having any problems.

🤣 No. Ours could start wrinkling as well. One thing I know, is, I used to work at an automotive seat factory, and I know seats have to be designed to fit every different size and shape body in the same seat. Very challenging if you think about it. I bought my ranger raptor because when I drove my wife's it fit me like a glove. I had an F-150 for my everyday vehicle for 6 years and that thing was huge, throwing me around constantly and my back was always stiff and sore when I got out of it. I hate leather. I love my cloth seats. But I love my trade off better with my Ranger Raptor. I may get some Katskin ventilated covers if next summer is a hot one.

It's an issue, several threads about it, mine looked like that when it arrived at the dealership, pretty low quality IMO.

No, I'm not sticking up for FoMoCo. Maybe we got lucky. If ours start to wrinkle, you can bet they'll hear from us and I wont give up this time. My 2022 F-150 had cloth seats and my drivers side (I'm basically the only one that drove it) was wrinkled when I got out of it but it would be somewhat gone by the time I got back in it the bext time. They told me that's normal and I accepted it even though that should not happen to ANY brand new vehicle. Sounds like they're using cheap foam. If it happened in my cloth seat and it's happening in leather seats, the foams density isn't there. I would, and will, demand that they replace them under the warranty and I won't give up.

It's a normal new build defect. Doesn't seem Ford's supplier has fixed it either. Dealer replaced my covers recently and the replacements were pretty similar. They also tried steaming them to remove some of the wrinkle and it didn't help much.
My dealer said it may end up looking worse if they replace it and it looks similar to other Rangers, so they are just going to leave it be. I'm not sure there's a better option or if I should press the matter. I do believe it would be a similar situation w no solution :/ we may have to live with this.

Yep. I originally said my wife's and mine were okay, but here are the pictures in the update. Not taught. With that being said every time I get out of these things, they look different. Sometimes they look perfectly fine, so you're right, we may have to live with this. Leather is like an old man's face. It wrinkles. If we don't want wrinkles, we get plastic/pleather. I'd rather have leather and see this myself.

My dealer told me the exact same thing. I’m going to wait a few years and then get Katzkin.
