I’m only 170lbs.You dont supose that weight of the occupant has anything to do with it - do ya? My 2024 Lariat leather seats look wrinkled like yours. The leather seats in my wife's 2017 Honda CRV Touring look brand new. Of course she is 110 lighter than me![]()
So I gotta cut 15?My wife and I both have Ranger Raptors, I weigh 155, and she's about a 118, and we're not having any problems.
Which color are yours? The leather seats on my 23 Lariat are absolutely perfect, not a wrinkle, crease or blotch anywhere. That is however perhaps one of the very few things Ford got right on my Ranger. The white leather seats in the wife's 2019 Explorer Platinum still look brand new 5 years later, but then everything on her Explorer makes me remember why I bought Ford's for 50 years. I would love to see Ford get back to the "Quality is Job 1" tagline.
Mine are the ebony with gray stitching.Which color are yours?
My dealer said it may end up looking worse if they replace it and it looks similar to other Rangers, so they are just going to leave it be. I'm not sure there's a better option or if I should press the matter. I do believe it would be a similar situation w no solution :/ we may have to live with this. It's a normal new build defect. Doesn't seem Ford's supplier has fixed it either. Dealer replaced my covers recently and the replacements were pretty similar. They also tried steaming them to remove some of the wrinkle and it didn't help much.
Yep. I originally said my wife's and mine were okay, but here are the pictures in the update. Not taught. With that being said every time I get out of these things, they look different. Sometimes they look perfectly fine, so you're right, we may have to live with this. Leather is like an old man's face. It wrinkles. If we don't want wrinkles, we get plastic/pleather. I'd rather have leather and see this myself. My dealer said it may end up looking worse if they replace it and it looks similar to other Rangers, so they are just going to leave it be. My dealer told me the exact same thing. I’m going to wait a few years and then get Katzkin. My dealer said it may end up looking worse if they replace it and it looks similar to other Rangers, so they are just going to leave it be.
