For previous truck owners, why are you upgrading?

for me, I have a 2018 gmc canyon 3.6 v6, I love the truck. But the interior is outdated, and it’s starting to have some transmission issues.

im Buying the new Kia sportage this year for the wife cuz her car got totaled, so in maybe 3-4 years I’ll switch the canyon, to the ranger raptor.

it’s all about that turbo v6 with that awesome interior screens. I love the interior of the ranger, am hoping they refresh the exterior before I buy lol

granted, in 2026-2027 lots of electric truckswill be on the scene, since I don’t tow Often and I’m a sucker for speed, high chance I’ll be considering the rivian r2 platform or other electric mid sized.

I have a 2012 Tacoma that I'm finally going get rid of, it's been a great truck. Just time to upgrade, I have been waiting 2 years since I heard the new ranger and taco was coming out and I like the Raptor the best.

I'm confused.. the '24 Ranger is a new Generation (in the US), with a refreshed exterior... how much more refreshed do you want before you buy?

Because no other mid-size truck is an all around complete package as the Raptor. From the suspension, to the twin turbo, to the dual lockers, so on and so on, no one else offers all of this, only portions.

You can argue price points, but that wouldn't be my point.

Going from a 2019 Ram Rebel to the 2024 Ranger Lariat FX4. Love my truck and nothing wrong with it except 18mpg, like to get something that will get 25mpg.

2022 Bronco Sport. I miss the spaciousness, comfort, ride & sometimes even the utility of a truck after selling my F150 some years back. I thought a compact SUV would be perfect for my suburban city life, & it is for what I anticipated, but it’s time to get back into a truck i think. So comparing the new Ranger, Tacoma & Canyon.

I have a 2004 FX4 F150 Supercab with leather & moonroof that I bought new that now has 148K miles. I liked it when I bought it & I still like it. I’m going to be 62 in December & for one it’s time for a new truck & two the RRaptor is the first truck in many years that made me say “wow, look at that!!” Also I don’t need or want a full size truck anymore so as of right now I’m feeling very fortunate & blessed that I‘ve been able to find a dealer that allowed me to have them order their one allocation to my specs & also to sell it to me for MSRP. If it takes 6, 8 or more months to get it, I believe it will be worth the wait & I look forward to getting it!!

I was interested in the Canyon AT4 until I test drove one. There was just too many things I didn't like about it compared to my current Ranger including power. I didn't expect it to feel slower than my Ranger, but it did. I'm no fan of Toyotas and Nissans so I decided to order a 24 Lariat FX4. I'll test drive it when it comes in and if I don't like it, then I guess I'll just wait for the Tremor. I wanted the Raptor, but not willing to pay ADM.

Upgrading/downsizing, however you want to look at it from a 2008 f150 lariat to a new lariat ranger. I dont work construction anymore and work in an office now. However, I dont think I cant not have a truck. This to me has the look of an f150 just more moderately sized and proportional to what I need. Ford guy through and through. I love the interior and the small details they have included. While i do hear some of the complaints of no rear vents, no 2.7 on launch, and no moonroof etc, this is will still feel like a major upgrade for me coming from a 16 year old truck.

My 2014 Raptor is starting to feel old and outdated. I'd like something smaller, faster, more capable, more comfortable, and more practical. The Ranger Raptor fits the bill to the tee.

I am totally with you on this. I have a 2014 Raptor and it’s been a great truck, reliable and lots of fun. However, it also has an arena sized turn radius, gets terrible mileage and has become really dated on the inside.

I want something new and fresh.

coming from a modded 2015 4Runner and a 2020 Land cruiser 200 series daily which was supposed to be modded after selling the 4Runner.

Ended up selling the 200 series (resale value is crazy right now) and putting up the 4Runner for sale after I receive the Ranger Raptor next week.

4Runner was super solid and capable. So looking forward for the Raptor to prove its worth.

Time to retire the '03 Dodge Dakota beater. Having a truck almost seems a necessity these days and I'd originally wanted an F-150 Raptor but I can't drive 5 minutes without seeing one and I really like having vehicles that you don't see often. Plus a mid-size truck suits me better, personally don't like how big trucks have grown. When I found out the Ranger Raptor existed and heard it was likely coming to the U.S. I decided to be patient and here we are.

I'll be replacing my 2007 Tacoma. It has seen 185,000+ hard miles and it is time for a modern vehicle that can get out of its own way in the mountains AND not get 16mpg.
