A little bit... it's far less course than the bed liner, which I was concerned would damage some of the things I carry (pinball machines) but didn't want the smooth painted bed. I'd say it's typical rubber mat grippy and should be great for tool/tackle boxes and the like of sufficient weight.

Installed a couple goodies from down under.

RA Ranger start/stop eliminator. Easy install, works perfectly.

Pirate Camp Co hood strut kit. Kit works perfectly. Install hit a snag when bolt broke during removal on overflow tank. Was able to work the broken half out from back with vicegrips, run a tap through captured nut, and replace with fender bolt removed by kit.

Intended to install a ford swing out toolbox, but it was damaged in shipping. Will order another after return is complete.

Also, found the first quality control issue on my truck. Grabbed bedside and gave truck a shake for reasons unknown. Heard a metallic clang underneath. Crawled under and shook it again. Saw a metal plate swinging.
It appears to be a heat shield on the passenger side rear upper control arm frame bracket, next to exhaust. The bolts were 3/4 out. I was able to back both bolts out by hand and remove shield to inspect for other missing fasteners. Luckily it only has two bolts and both were still in. I threaded both bolts all the way in by hand, then tightened with ratchet.
My truck has 1200 miles, some on gravel roads, so they may have backed out on own. Were definitely not tightened at factory though.
I’m just glad i caught it before a bolt was lost, and it was an easy fix.

Knocked a lot out today.
Tough skins inserts, OEM raptor (ford performance mud flaps), Fords Vehicle Security System to have an alarm, and black one piece lugs vs the silver two piece junkers Ford uses.

I finally got my new wheels!

Black Rhino Etosha wheel w/+20mm offset. The wheel fits perfectly, and as you can see from the picture with the level, the tread pattern sits almost flush with the top of the wheel arch. I also used the stock KO3 tires.

I'm so happy with it, and the bronze wheel on Cactus Gray looks sooo good!

were you able to confirm that the factory nuts are the 2 piece? i wasn't sure how to tell until they start becoming a problem.

also where did you end up buying the replacements from?

Where did you order the mudflaps from? I can’t find them on ford accessories.

I tried to get Pro Trailer backup assist calibrated with my boat a few weeks ago, but the parking lot I was in was too small and had too much traffic. Tonight I was bringing it home and drove by the local mega church with an empty parking lot, so I swung in and spent a few minutes getting it calibrated.

Tried using Backup Assist to get the boat into my driveway and do not understand how this is supposed to make it easier, feels less intuitive than just backing up to me. Made two passes with backup assist and couldn't figure out how to get it into my driveway. Ended up abandoning it and parking it myself.

Really don't understand the intent of these systems, I'm not even particularly good at backing a trailer, but the backup assist seems even hard than just doing it normally
