R A N G E R stamp on tailgate....Hear me out.

Ok so first of. New to the forum, new to world of Raptor's so saying hi.
Second.
Now it could be my OCD but the RANGER stamped into the rear tailgate, reaaalllllly get's on my t*ts.
Have never liked it and can't understand why Ford didn't just produce it nice and smooth. I've looked everywhere online for an after market tailgate that doesn't have ranger stamped into it but no luck.
I went to a local body shop and asked how much to fill it in and spray it over but after being told "Yeah, it's a lot of work" and being given a $3,000 estimate, I said no and left.

Anyone else bugged by it? or have a solution I'm not seeing?

Totally agree! Hated it on my F150 as well.

I also highly dislike those stamped gates but adding inserts highlights it and makes it worse. Get white and its almost invisible lol. I also added white fillers in the raptor badge to make that blend more.

I have been tempted to take a cutoff wheel to my tailgate and cut out the R A N G E R logo. Weld in a piece of sheet metal and get a buddy to paint it. I think a non logo smooth tail gate would look SOOOOOO much better.

Looks like this has been beaten, but I wish Ford would have given the RR a distinctive Raptor tailgate to distinguish it like the F-150 Raptor from the normal stamped F-150 tailgate. Not a big deal, but it would have been a little nicer that way.

Well you seem to not want the RANGER stamped on the tail gate.

Get some letters and spell "ANGER "

Damn that looks good! This is how it should have been.

If it is any consolation the stamping probably makes that section a bit stiffer and it is really hard to see in most cases,

unless you add an inlay of some sort.
