Hey guys. Thinking about throwing on a screen protector on my Raptor Ranger. Just not sure if it really needs it as I’ve never had a screen protector on any other screen I’ve had in my cars. Looking for thought and opinions. Thanks in advance!

Yes. OCD Plug. Follow directions and get all dust/fingerprints off the entire screen and surrounding area before beginning. I used three times the amount of Dawn soap and water spray mix and had zero install issues and no bubbles. Watch the Backroad Driver video and take your time.

Will it affect touch sensitivity?

I'm clumsy with my work bag and other things I toss in the truck sometimes. So I absolutely put one on. I haven't hit the screen with anything but I'm glad I have it on there. I don't notice it on there and it gives me some piece of mind.

i probably don't need one if it was just me but i could see my 2 young boys doing something to it either throwing something or whatever. It was chea insurance and i got the matte finish so no giant glare on it.

I put one on the day I bought my truck. I'm not so worried about breaking the screen, but the center screens on my older cars show wear from being cleaned so that's what I'm looking to prevent. The protector doesn't seem to reduce sensitivity or anything, and frankly, I've forgotten it's there.

I got the matte finish screen protector and it was worth it just to greatly reduce fingerprints alone. It also reduces glare and reflections. I originally got it to protect the screen from scratches but I've found more value in eliminating all the above. Protection from scratches is now just a benefit.

If you came from a Tacoma you know how scratch prone screens can be. I figure it is a sound investment for a small price.

I have a protector since day one. Only regret I wish it was matte. Otherwise, no scratches!!

I put one on mine. It's virtually invisible and the touch screen is still very sensitive. For $22 on Amazon it's an inexpensive first layer of protection.
