I've received a good amount of interest on these edge covers I've made considering I did nothing but post here. So, I've gone and made a slightly upgraded version.
+ Upgraded TPU material with a soft touch surface
+ Thicker material wall
+ Tweaked the fitment even more for a snug fit.

Posting here if anyone else is interested. If anyone here is using one please let me know what you think. Thanks!

I ordered one of these a year ago from RealTruck on Amazon and was so disappointed I shipped it back the very next day. Very poor fitment with big gaps between the bedrail and tonneau rails at the tailgate end (see pics). I'm considering giving it another shot. Is there anyone with better success who's willing to share pics? Maybe the one I got was warped or something...

i dont have pics but having a second set of hands/feet to put some weight on the rails while tightening down eliminated my gaps.

Get a rubber mallet, half-tighten the clamps then tap the rails near the clamps so that the rails lay flat. Mine did that until I used a mallet and it lays perfectly flat now. These do take some tinkering, but once its properly installed it is satisfactory. I also put some spacers at the front end because I had a small gap at the tailgate.

Thanks for the input! I took some pics from the underside as well. Where the clamps engage the rail it looked like either the clamp or the rail would have to bend to get them any more snug. Maybe I gave up too soon and a few taps with a rubber mallet would've fixed it, but I admit by that point I was pretty torqued!

Pretty hard to tell how much room there is (if any), but it would probably only take a couple more of those ridges to engage with the clamp to get it to lay flat. Thats why you half-tighten it - once you tap it with the mallet the additional ridges engage and then you can fully tighten it down. The rail or bed trim might also be slightly warped.

Agreed, the quality at that price point is very disappointing😀

The one I bought for my April build 2025 was problematic to install. Instructions were confusing because if you had a 2024 you installed it one way and another way if you had a 2025. But that was backwards because it would only install on mine using the 2024 instructions. Expect to spend some time installing this cover.

I also bought this cover for my 2016 F-150 and that one was a very simple install.

FYI.....Both the 2016 and the 2025 cover leak. Not badly, but if you have something that absolutely can not get wet at all, put it in a tub, wrap it really good, put it inside the cab, or wait till a dry day. Generally not a problem, but long all day trips is where I bumped into this issue. You cannot predict the weather that far in advance.

I just installed a X4S on my November 2025 build MY2025 RR.

It went on smoothly, but the instructions were a bit confusing.

My MY2025 RR has the MY24 stake pocket covers. Not sure if like someone else mentioned, Bak got the images reversed or what.

Mine came with extra bolts that I didn't need. I was very confused about attaching the straps to the front clamps. The washers provided had too large a inside diameter for the bolt.

Mine came with four extra pieces of rubber seal maybe 12" long each, that are not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. Does anyone know what they are for?

Also I kept the rear hand nuts loose attaching the cover to the rails. I then shut the tailgate and pulled the end of the cover nearly flush with the line in the tailgate plastic. That way I get maximum seal coverage without making the tailgate hard to close.
