What did you do to your Ranger Raptor Today?

Bolted up a transmission skid plate and changed the oil.

This got me thinking - are there recommended skid plates that we should add to whatever it came with stock? Or add and replace OEM?

I'm only adding a skid where there is no skid from the factory--and, this is for the transmission.

Added ReadyLIFT High Clearance Anti-Intrusion Beams. Pretty easy, took about 90 min. Says not for Ranger Raptor, but fit just fine. Next is 2.25” front lift to go with my 1” wheel spacers I already installed and then 315x70R17 KO3’s on the stock rims (and spare).

Decided to fight for my life and install the Amber DRL boards. Went the wheel removal and fender removal method, my hands would’ve never fit to get the heat sinks out otherwise. Overall took 3ish hours, taking it all apart is harder than going together. Tomorrow i’ll install the AAL side kick accessory mount, hoping i can get enough length out of the ram arms to make it viable for me and a passenger.

Post amber DRL install, forgot to plug in the driver side horn harness, turns out it makes a world of difference to have both horns working.
Installed AAL sidekick and super pumped, now it’s time to build out a few mounts. Will be replacing the x grip with a MagSafe charger, and then building a mount for an IPad

Had my shocks rebuilt by TSW Offroad. Truck has just over 50k miles, mostly just highway miles, but with some good off-roading mixed in. Seals on the shocks were starting to make a lot of noise, so I figured it was time.

3 of the shocks had noticeable nitrogen mixing with oil.

Also they pointed out that two of my live valve position sensors were broken, front passenger and rear driver. Pretty surprised by that, like I say truck has good use Offroad, but has never seen impacts getting into the bump stops.

I installed my Scanstrut 12v and XT60 outlets on the blank panel. Had to cut out the divider rib to make them both fit. The 12v is wired into the original harness, XT60 will be connected directly to the battery via 6awg wire so I can run up to 30A off that connector.

I think my harness mod turned out pretty damn good. XT60 wires bagged up until I get a chance to run the heavy gauge back there.

The sensor itself isn't broken, but the linkage between the sensor and the control arm had sheared off. One would think they have some ways of checking for bad data from the sensor, but I guess not.

Ah, that makes more sense. Making a mental note to check those as part of my standard post-offroading damage inspection.

What is XT 60?

High current connectors, used in RC and solar applications. I like them because they are small yet handle high current for things like my compressor
