How do you turn off wireless charging (24’ RR) safely without causing any unnecessary unintended issues.

Even with my wallet between the pad and phone it heats up my phone and it turns off due to high temperature fault.

Petty sure you can disable it in Forscan, but maybe you can have it checked under warranty?

I've never had an issue with phone overheating on 2 different model phones I have had since getting the truck. I use it every morning and evening on my work commute. I am sure others will comment but it sounds like either a phone problem or a faulty pad that should be checked.

Maybe doesn't matter but I have been using Android phones on the pad 99% of the time with under a handful of times an iPhone was on it.

Just pull fuse #3 in the BCM fuse panel. The Ford wireless charging pads are the worst. It's not a phone thing.

Same with BMW and others tho... If there's a company that does them well I haven't seen it yet. You'd think it would be pretty easy 10n years after they hit $10 on Amazon but who knows.

s24 Ultra. it a slow charge on the phone, and does warm the phone up alot. so I use quad lock wireless mag mount to charge my phone, and the pad can be used for passengers lol

Perhaps if your phone has the option for fast or slow wireless charging. I keep mine on slow to keep it cool.
PS I don't have my Ranger yet but do wireless charging.

its a phone heater for me iPhone pro max 16

I got this bright idea to fabricate an insert to precisely position the phone in the center of the charging area. Didn't make any difference.....

I put my phone in the French fries slot

For really long trips I will just charge the old fashioned way

Off topic. sorry, but are the cup holders on the 24 RR left of the gear shifter, or is the image reversed? I have a 24 Ranger Lariat and the cupholders are on the right of the gear shifter.

I think they’re using a stock image which is from a RH drive Ranger

Ok, thanks. Threw me for a loop bc the climate controls, wireless charging pad, and charging ports seem to be oriented the same as NA Rangers. 😁

I’ve had a android and a iPhone and both get hot enough to melt my hand, so now I’m using it for my wallet and chew can and I use the French fry slot for the phone

My iPhone 17 Pro Max charges just fine in the wireless charger and does not overheat at all. But my only problem is it stops charging, but I think that might have to do with adaptive charging being on in my phone. When it does charge, I have found it to charge quite fast.

Huh...I'm using the same phone and no overheating. Have you tried charging it without the case to see if it gets warm that way?

Was able to unplug the wireless charging pad from the harness. No more blistering, hot phone, and no codes thrown.
