I agree with everything except for the looks. I wish the truck was a little more aggressive looking like the Tacoma and Colorado, but the overall value of this truck is better. Another con I have is the driveshaft. It already has surface rust at only 3,000 miles. Apparently this is normal and isn't a concern for Ford, but still....like come on.

Also, the drain plug is garbage. I swapped it with a Ronin one for easier oil changes in my 2.7L.

Small world Tim. Really like that Azure Gray on your Lariat!
Thanks
What I like most is it does not show the light dirt and pollen.

Personally I LIKE the look more than the others. Everything else has so many creases, angles, etc; I find the lines of the Ranger refreshing. I think it'll age better, as well.

I agree with the looks on this truck. It's a more handsome looking design than the other midsizers in my opinion. More simple and not overly done. I think it will age better too.

I’ve only had my Ranger for just under 500 miles.

i have had a key without power locks for 40 years, manual transmission Toyotas.

oddly after crawling around Underneath and looking through the engne compartment, I feel like the ranger is more Toyota like, in a good way, than the current Toyota

same with the styling

the lariat has the intelligent access with push to start and with the optional keypad, I’ve never had some many ways to open and lock a truck.

i like the push in the indent of the handle to lock feature

my only issue is occasionally I try to shift into first gear (old manual muscle memory), and for most of those 40 years, the garage door opener was above the window shade and with homelink it is below….
