Thanks I appreciate it greatly!!!!Yeah unfortunately if you live near a shitty dealership that is not paying attention to how the operations work, then we basically become the collateral damage.
But sorry to hear about your experience. I know you were ones here that were super excited for this release.
Dealer finally changed my order to retail today, so it shows order date of 7/14. I guess that date doesn't matter as long as they still give me the right priority code.I've heard fuck all from my salesman since asking him about switching from stock to retail 2 weeks ago. I really don't care if I don't get the truck this year, but I really would like to have some warning to when I'm going to be blowing $60,000.
That makes sense because I ordered mine the day the banks opened on may 26th and I’ve seen people who ordered in June get scheduledDealer finally changed my order to retail today, so it shows order date of 7/14. I guess that date doesn't matter as long as they still give me the right priority code.
I certainly hope things work out for you and I bet it will. I also have excitement as I'd like to hear some ride reports once this new RR comes out. It'll be good to hear your thoughts on this new truck once you get it.Nappy, yes, good news if he gets a "scheduled" e-mail. Otherwise, from my experience, there is a long "disapointing" wait ahead of him.
I agree on the salesman honestly not knowing judging from his responses. It is still annoying, as I believe Snkrjeff020 wrote in an earlier post he tried to warn the salesman about this scenario. But at least the responses were polite. (although, to be honest, I don't want to be the one that had to teach him at my expense). So, the "catch the MPR with honey" is probably the best tactic at this point.
I am fairly certain the whole process is automated or at least the majority of it. My guess is the VIN is the first thing generated and then that is assigned to an order for a customer or a dealership. Once that happens the system generates the email with the attached info and sends it out.I would think it may take a week or two for all build date email notifications to generate. There’s probably some underpaid receptionist individually emailing the notifications. Us build date waiters have to be patient.

I can't imagine in this day and age they have a human being handling things of these matters especially when you think these emails are standard across all models and trims in the whole company.
It does not. Scheduling is done on Thursday, and barring any email system delays the emails are out by end of day Thursday.. with some carrying over to Friday if the Ford email system is running slow.I was being a little sarcasticbut I’m sure it may take a couple of weeks for all to be notified.
Well I guess my dealer fed me some BS saying I’m the only one who put an order in with them. I bet they ordered one for their lot.It does not. If you don't have an email yesterday or today... you're not scheduled (or, the dealer hosed up adding your email address to the order).
Sometimes, they don't have the allocations so you are not scheduled. Sometimes they enter your e-mail wrong, so you don't get the e-mail. Sometimes, they did order it as stock (so call them and see) so you would not get an e-mail. Sometimes, for a reason NOBODY can explain you simply don't get scheduled.Well I guess my dealer fed me some BS saying I’m the only one who put an order in with them. I am confident that I'm the only order at my dealer and I didn't receive an email. You're not alone.Well I guess my dealer fed me some BS saying I’m the only one who put an order in with them. I bet they ordered one for their lot.
This. You are not alone. Plenty of people disappointed this week.I am confident that I'm the only order at my dealer and I didn't receive an email. You're not alone.
I got the confirmation email on my purchase. The dealer order receipt said retail priority 10. So idk.Sometimes, they don't have the allocations so you are not scheduled. I am in the same situation. Extremely confident that the dealer and I went through the process correctly stock to retail. Same order# throughout. I ordered very early in June. I know I am the original and currently only order they have. He sends me screen shots of the order in the system almost daily. I am a priority 10, their only Ranger and I have not been scheduled.I am confident that I'm the only order at my dealer and I didn't receive an email. You're not alone.
