So my 2019 Ranger really benefited by a leveling kit (dealer installed). Besides looking better, the ride was noticeably improved. Curious if the Raptor will also have the same nose heavy stance....requiring at minimum a 2" front lift? Looks pretty level in most of the U.S. posts and videos....but hard to tell.
Interesting so we can just do a 2" front lift and slap some 33" tires on the FX4?

I’d say it’s a bad idea simply because you’re taking what might be the best suspension in a factory truck and making it worse at its job. A tower spacer is just as easy to install. To each their own though. The adjustable suspension is one of the killer features for me so I won’t do anything that will make it worse.
Yeah, seems crazy to pay for the suspension of the Raptor and then change it. My theory is the FX4 is better for modifying, simple suspension and all.

Why would you want a top puck spacer? that allows the CV and tie rod ends etc to travel down farther then they were designed to travel. for a performance truck like the Ranger Raptor I would avoid those top of the shock type spacers.
250 bucks for such small collars seems pretty steep. You guys do forums discounts or something for us forums members ?

Sorry you feel that way. These are CNC machined from billet aluminum, made in the good ole USA with American labor. Stainless steel hardware and good quality annodize. We feel like we offer a fair price for a good quality part.

But in other hand, use a collar will change the internal piston position of the live shock and it change the position relative to all bypass technology from fox. I think that all the lift modes will change something, but the top spacer didn’t change the internal of the live valve shock technology. Any way that you use to lift the Raptor will change the height of the body relative to floor by the sensors and should need a Forscan recalibration after this…

it usually takes about 3-4 hours. to get the spring compressed you have to remove the shock to do it so thats what really takes the time.

just picked up my Ranger Raptor and I can already tell that I'll want a front leveling kit......but not the 2.5" as I still want a slight rake as I do haul some stuff once in a while.....any pics of the 2" installed? any recommendation for a GOOD shop to install that has experience with shock collars and live valve shocks?

All of this is true except for the leveling sensors.
Those sensors don’t look at ride height, they look at suspension travel speed. There is no calibration for them within the live valve components or in Forscan.

Sigh - ‘socks and crocs’ your at it again I see…

Why am I not surprised to see you posting your “authoritative” personal interpretations of second hand knowledge from a Fox tech/engineer who admitted Ford had final design and execution control of the live valve control system as implemented in this platform (and other Raptor models), that is adjustable by mode selections.

I’m going to be receiving my OBD cable so I can confirm this in FORScan with the RR, but from the F150 Raptor forum and what Aussie shops have been doing the ride height sensors, (not positioning or travel speed sensors), do measure height changes and can be calibrated:

It is entirely possible that the Live Valve dampening only collects certain data from sensors and this calibration doesn’t modify how they react; or it may, and the engineer you spoke with didn’t know how Ford uses the ride height sensor data to send control signals to the shocks.

Perhaps all this does is adjust the active LED headlight leveling and front facing camera zero points. If that were true, I wouldn’t expect sensors on all 4 corners and could easily just use a single front and rear sensor.

Once I have my FMI collars installed I will be testing this myself. Again I concede it will have a slight negative impact on the internal bypass positioning, and I am fine with that even if it means early shock replacement/servicing.

thanks for the reply......but I went a different direction and had these installed today
https://fordrangerlifts.com/shop/ols/products/xn-2024-ranger-raptor-2-level-lift-eb2t-5348cc
.....so far loving the look and the ride is only a tad bit more firm but barely noticeable....

but thanks again for the reply.....I was anxious to get something done and didn't want to wait any longer......
do you have a post or a gallery of some sort showing before and after pictures of different angles? I’m debating if doing this too to mine.
